That said, let's say a fella wants to find a thread, can't remember its name. But he DOES remember you were in the thread, tallking to me. That poster can click on your profile, click on your notifications, select for notifications specifically from cannonpointer, and thereby find the thread in question.
There are quite a number of reasons someone might visit your profile, many perfectly harmless.
Then there are visits from me.
