I was gob smacked.

It told him, dude, the pawn shops would have all the guns the next day. The homeless are not being robbed by their neighbors. I was shocked he needed that explained.

Why should he?  Isn't the billions he pays in taxes to such an extremely wasteful government sufficient already?
How would you like someone telling YOU how much more of YOUR money you should pay for homelessness or for any other idiotic liberal program?
Don't you understand that no matter how much you're taxed, all you're doing is allowing such corrupt idiots in Congress to waste even more?
If Bezos (or any other billionaire) was taxed at a 99% rate, do you really think a dime of that would go to end homelessness?

Ummm, Last time I checked the oligarchs are not hoarding their wealth .......
They are quite busy funding the complete take over of the western world where you will own nothing and like it......
This thread is not about the homeless... as the link suggests ....
it's about introducing the WEF policy of a universal basic income in Oregon ....

They are globalists ....and if they were taxed at a 99% rate they would just pull up stakes, hop on their jets and and move their base of operations to another country that won't tax them that rate ....like Switzerland where their new liberal world order capital is .....Cologny.....

I totally agree!  And that's the fallacy that the "tax the rich" crowd will never understand.
But that's really not the point of the extreme example I used.  
The answer is NOT to charge any individual group or anyone more tax simply because that money will NEVER go where the taxpayers funding the government WANT IT TO GO TO!

I weep for no one, whether it be a billionaire or a pauper.
You mistakenly think that the poor are either caused by the rich or it is their responsibility to alleviate the conditions they suffer with.
And if that makes you happy to be instrumental in such a cause, more power to you.
Just don't expect everyone else to share that philosophy.

Well, that's because most people don't truly understand what globalism actually is... and how globalists are not bound to an allegiance to one country anymore and have the monetary freedom to do what ever they want ....when they want.

This would be a good solution for homeless people. However, they would completely trash beautiful mother nature. I would prefer to see them trash inner city ghettos than nature. They are already trashed anyway.

It is a trial program to subsidize rent in order to get people into stable housing.

The Department of Human Services would administer the People’s Housing Assistance Fund Demonstration Program, which would provide 12 monthly $1,000 payments to individuals who met the following criteria: experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, severely rent burdened, or earning at or below 60% of area median income.

Rent, emergency expenses, food, childcare, or other goods/services would be covered by the $1,000 payments.

 Payments would be targeted toward BIPOC, people aged 58 and up, people with disabilities, veterans, homeless youth, and households with children.
