Being "woke" is mostly virtue signaling to try and prove how not racist/homophobic/misogynist/transphobic/ one is.

That this country has prospered more than others because it was blessed by God with "American Exceptionalism".
The land was stolen from the Native Americans quite notably by Andrew Jackson sending the peaceful agrarian Five Civilized Tribes off on the Trail of Tears against the Constitution and the decision of the Supreme Court, and the lands that the Indians had cleared off was sold  for $1.25 an acre, mostly to wealthy Southerners who farmed it to grow cotton with the free labor of slaves that had been kidnapped in Africa and brought here in chains.

That after the slaves were freed, the Southern states were allowed to pass Jim Crow laws that allowed them to be arrested for vagrancy or other petty crimes and rented out by the state to do chain gang labor for coal mines and plantations.

That Jim Crow lasted over 100 years, and that the descendents of slaves were denied VHA loans, VA loans and were prohibited from buying homes.
That when a few Blacks managed to democratically take control and/or to prosper, as in Tulsa and Wilmington NC, their communities were destroyed and any were killed and wounded.

Woke people know this happened.

I don’t know anybody who denies any of this. Nor do I know anybody who wasn’t taught about the trail of tears in high school. I don’t know anybody who wasn’t taught about MLK or civil rights. 

You haven’t identified anything that, to my knowledge, isn’t being taught.
