No doubt that the idiots killing the offer of a last cigarette for those about to be executed are culled from the same cloth as the medical professionals who swab the injection site in lethal injection executions with alcohol to prevent an infection.Cannonpointer » 10 Mar 2023, 12:50 pm » wrote: ↑ I suppose they arguably COULD. Well, this nation's Constitutional Framers, in their wisdom, gave us the SCOTUS to address presidential tendencies to over-reach (we've had 46 with that tendency, to date). But there IS a certain charm in the notion of substituting posts and blindfolds for perverts in robes. The obvious problem which presents is that we can no longer offer the obligatory cigarette, in the face of the sturgeon menstrual's finding of severe health threats.
Just my opinion.

That makes it clear how warped and ignorant you truly are!
There are NONE as stupidly progressive as those hate-filled ****, who are no less progressive than the ignorant big-mouthed whores on The View!
And you have zero authority to deny that those claiming to be progressive such as those 4 and countless others are not, especially when determining such a subjective classification!

Jimmy Dore axed rhetorically, "Does ANYBODY not see through AOC? ANYBODY?"

These are just 2 of the apples that Dems are slowly taking a bite out of in their long-term goal to force us into universal government healthcare and what they consider "a living wage".Cannonpointer » 10 Mar 2023, 1:03 pm » wrote: ↑ Show me on the apple.
Who TOLD you that was their goal? AOC?
Obama had every opportunity to put medicare for all into effect.
Have you looked at the insane healthcare spending in Biden's new budget?Obama – Remarks to AFL – CIO“I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer health care plan. The US spending 14% of its GDP on health care and cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody and that’s what Jim is talking about when he says, ‘Everybody in. Nobody out.’ A single payer health care credit–universal healthcare credit. That’s what I’d like to see, but as all of you know, we may not get there immediately.
Stimulus update: Progressives propose bill guaranteeing monthly $1,200 payments
By Debbie Lord, Cox Media 8/3/21
A bill for a guaranteed income program proposed by progressive Democrats in Congress is calling for ongoing $1,200 monthly stimulus checks for adults plus $600 for each child in the household.

The dems could have passed medicare for all in 2009. Instead, they gave wall street a multi-trillion dollar plumb. The rest of that? **** rhetoric.Zeets2 » 10 Mar 2023, 2:43 pm » wrote: ↑ These are just 2 of the apples that Dems are slowly taking a bite out of in their long-term goal to force us into universal government healthcare and what they consider "a living wage".
The first bite of the healthcare apple was Obamacare, which many consider a huge failure, as it's been unable to reduce the number of uninsured Americans once the mandate was found to be unconstitutional. Obama knew his promises to reduce cost by $2500 and still allow people to choose their own doctor and keep their plan were all ****! Just as he knew that healthcare cost would continue to rise, and most would be displeased with that coverage, allowing them to take the next bite that Biden took, which was to throw another $40 BILLION at increasing Obamacare subsidies.
Obama has stated his long-term goal is universal healthcare many times:
Have you looked at the insane healthcare spending in Biden's new budget?
The next bite of that apple is $236 billion for a permanent extension of Obamacare, the $200 billion for a government-run health program in states that have not expanded Medicaid to the able-bodied under Obamacare, the $325 billion for “national, comprehensive paid family and medical leave”, the $150 billion for home and community-based services in Medicaid, and the $76 billion for behavioral health care.
Tell me again how you don't see the long-term goal of progressives regarding their universal healthcare goal!
And Obama NEVER had the opportunity to push through Medicare for all into effect. The fact is he didn't get a single Republican to even back Obamacare, and would have lost many Democrats if he tried to achieve that goal in a single bite.
Here's the progressive goal of giving a monthly stipend of $1200 to every American, as the idiots in the squad have already proposed:
Taking incremental steps is what liberals have learned since Hillary got her *** handed to her when SHE proposed universal healthcare.
Aren't you aware of the small steps they've taken in the area of gay and tranny rights over the last few decades? It started with legislation allowing gays to be called "civil partners", then get the right to marry years later, and now it's become a progressive giant that's giving us drag queen story hour, men who identify as women dominating women's sports, and perverts wearing a dress in women's restrooms, locker rooms, and school showers and advising kids that they can be any gender they choose.
Do you really think any of that could have been achieved if they tried to pass this current **** if it was their first bite at the apple?
Oh, I can see through her just fine, and you certainly know that!Cannonpointer » 10 Mar 2023, 2:30 pm » wrote: ↑ Jimmy Dore axed rhetorically, "Does ANYBODY not see through AOC? ANYBODY?"

Yes, Jimmy. @Zeets2 does not see through AOC.
It changes her agenda from what you thought it was to what it actually is - pro MIC, pro wall street, pro war, anti-progressive.Zeets2 » 10 Mar 2023, 2:50 pm » wrote: ↑ Oh, I can see through her just fine, and you certainly know that!
But the fact is that the millions of ignorant New Yorkers DO NOT see her stupidity as has been proven on election day, and not being a NY resident myself, my "vision" is completely irrelevant, as is yours!
So of what use is it if you and I both recognize her act? Did it change a single vote of anyone who voted for her or any of the other "squad" progressives?

You think anyone gives a **** that your definition doesn't match theirs or anyone elses?
Still can't dispute any of my dozen examples of progressivism though, can you?
Do you stupidly think those are conservative policies?
So since you believe AOC isn't "progressive", which of these dozen+ far-left policies do you figure she opposes?:Cannonpointer » 10 Mar 2023, 2:52 pm » wrote: ↑ It changes her agenda from what you thought it was to what it actually is - pro MIC, pro wall street, pro war, anti-progressive.
Which do you suppose matters most - the perceptions of wool-pulled new york voters, or the actual agenda of the people they elect?
I don't. Oil companies are posting record profits - making more under Biden than they did under trump - and with less effort. Trump was progressive. Raising taxes on the rich was campaign rhetoric - not actual policy. Men in dresses is a trojan horse to destroy the us - nothing to do with progressivism, as far as I can tell.Zeets2 » 10 Mar 2023, 10:18 am » wrote: ↑ When you explain why every one of these policies is NOT progressive in nature, we've got something to debate.
Till then, you've got nothing but your own idiotic beliefs that don't hold water! How many of the progressive Democrats you vote for (including Biden) DISAPPROVE of any of these policies?
Bet you can count them all on one hand!:
You don't call the attempt to kill the fossil fuel industries in this country "progressivism"?
You don't consider forcing people to accept men dressed as women in school bathrooms, locker rooms, and showers to be "progressive"?
You don't think your demented idiot throwing hundreds of billions to fund millions of illegals being invited in to our country "progressive"?
You don't believe that men claiming to be women are being allowed to compete in women's sports "progressive"?
You don't believe nominating judges and cabinet members who are gay and transgendered to be "progressive"?
You don't think defunding the police and accepting record crime increases as the "new normal" to be "progressive"?
You don't think huge tax increases on the wealthy are "progressive"?
You don't believe that replacing equal opportunity with "equity" is "progressive"?
You don't believe that no-bail laws are "progressive" despite crime being out of control?
You don't see a VP and other politicians making donations for their bail to allow rioters to continue inflicting billions in damages to be "progressive"?
You don't see the Obama/Biden attempts to reach universal healthcare through Obamacare to be "progressive"?
You don't consider Biden's huge increases to the food stamp welfare program while taxpayers can't afford to buy food to be "progressive"?
You don't believe that massive subsidies for people to buy electric cars to be "progressive"?

But when somebody claims they're progressive, and votes to pass progressive legislation at every possible opportunity and has NEVER opposed a single one of those progressive/liberal policies, I'd be a fool to doubt their sincere voracity as you do!
