tucker showed that nothing was happening before something did

he showed Hawley was one of the last ones to run out  ... I guess he is slower than a bunch of old white men  

he showed that some cops helped them out, that was already known

he showed the shaman being escorted around BEFORE he did things that the shaman himself said was " inexcusable behavior"

thats the  best he can do with a couple of years worth of recordings?

That is the point. He was showing that it wasn't not an insurrection but a riot. 

The shaman already broke the law by entering the building. That happened before the video. LOL! You are lying about that. Most of problems happened while the rioters were trying to get into the building. Once they got in they basically milled around and messed things up. 

Those people DID bust into the capital and storm around because they were sore losers and they believed Trump's lie about the election being stollen. 

I do care if it was an insurrection because that lie has been used to smear people like me who are conservative.

the reason I watch Kimmel is because tRump rants and raves about him on truth social, he even went to Disney and tried to get him fired, so everybody knows he watches him, and boils

Colbert sucks.  yes, I watched the clip - because you at least wrote something about it!  So, when I say Colbert sucks, I'm not making a general statement, just that he totally sucks in that video clip you posted.  Here's why:

• He takes too long to get into the meat of what he's trying to say - lost my interest after the first few seconds of blather.
• He really isn't funny - comes off as an angry Democrat.
• He doesn't have any of his own matierial.  He relies 100% in critiquing Tucker Carlson, who does in fact create his own material.
• The whole thing is nothing but sarcastic snippets of what he doesn't like about Republicans.  We get it, Colbert hates us, but at least he doesn't have to bore me to death.

I don’t watch Colbert much, like I said in the OP , he is too “vote blue, no matter who”   for me

i think he did his best work on the daily show, the Colbert report was funny as hell

I was only analyzing Colbert from the clip you embedded, which I did watch - or most of it anyway.  I never watch the guy. 

I really do not see what even lefties find appealing about him.  He comes off as extremely sarcastic.  He has no real point to make on his own.  All he does is criticize Tucker Carlson.  And, Tucker is merely commenting on how calm and not violent the so-called insurrection was. In fact, Tucker makes some very astute, reasonable observations and Colbert - he just makes some stupid wisecracks. 

I've got to ask - what was your point in choosing this clip of Colbert to share with the forum?

A handful of people walking around the Capital, and you Democrats (Colbet included) claim that is some kind of insurrection?  What a total joke.  The fact that Colbert highlights this is insane.  It shows just how insane the Democrats and the left have gone.  Your Jan 6 hearings went nowhere.  Colbert's op-ed of Tucker's piece only serves to further prove that.

Like I said, I watched the clip.  You need to watch closely.  There are only a handful of people actually inside of the Capital.  Not counting the security that was there, I counted a total of between 15 to 20.  That is from the video clip you posted.  But, I noted however:

• Much of the video footage is from outside of the capital - completely irrelevant. This is "sugar thrown on top of the real cake" to hide what was really going on.  Just cut all of that **** out of there. Whatever happened outside of the building is crap - just protesters being beaten by government-paid thugs. Nothing they were doing was illegal.
• Then, count the actual Trump people inside of the Capital.  I struggled to even get to 20.  More like 15, perhaps less.

So, both you and Colbert seem to have a real problem with critically analyzing a video clip.  Watch it again, then you tell me where you seem more than 20 Trump supporters in the Capital Building.
