The hexagon pans seem senseless. It's the coating itself, not the print pattern. Don't be fooled, young lady.
But it's that english guy - the coke head chef.

GORDON RAMSEY!

I mean, I understand he has a stake in them but still. Would he lie?

I have three stainless and one carbon - these are the real deal. But who DOESN'T want a realer deal?

Maybe you're right. I don't want to fall for some marketing gimmick. **** it. I got all the pans I need.

Thank you. Image

Use the tires right down to "forensics-less tracks" and get a new pan when you see a permanent crust.

When I sell my house, doesn't matter if it's a seller's or buyer's market.
You get **** at one end and make out at the other... People time **** and I just compare notes later.
It basically evens out.

I never get my money's worth from a set of tires. I value my safety above the few hundred wasted by trading in at half-way down.

When I worked oil patch as a youngster, I bought a new pair of dot graphites DAILY. My cast offs went to my smirking work mates, who considered my habit profligate. They would get three days out of a pair of gloves, wearing the dots down to nothing.

The day came that those dot graphites saved my life. My foot slipped, I wasn't tied off, and my grip held only because I was locked in by the dots. Had I fallen, I'd either have died or had a very different life. There were valves upon which I'd have been impaled.

All kidding aside, I had no-treads on my car right after I got a decent job out of college.
I was doing about 55 on a two lane, on a curve, Michigan springtime slush and bare spots.

There's a certain feeling you get when you know you are hydroplaning (easy to do on slush) and j u s t  maintaining your line. I was on the inside lane and another car doing about 55 on the outside lane. If I broke loose from the curve, same as you, my life would be radically different today.

My dots were worn down to nothing, so to speak.  ;)   That was a real lesson in cheap stupid and prioritizing expenditures.
I don't run on **** tires IRL. Not since broke college days anyway.

btw
Maybe your hero Cokehead the Cook knows his stuff about pans.
All I know is they last way longer when you hand wash.
Please seat yourself.

Yup.

These days, suspensions are so much better. Hydroplaning is less common - but still horrible.

I'm passing on the hexclad until I decide they're not the "latest greatest" gimmick. I don't trust that limey.

There's only so much a suspension system can do. Tread patterns are better on tires too.
But when you're on certain surfaces, slowing the **** down is the easiest, most effective way to save paint.

Indeed.

One improvement I like a great deal is that cruise control no longer continues operating when wheels lose traction. It used to - which made it impossible to use cruise on cabled roads.

Cabled roads more refers to unmelted spots of ice and snow - not so much your black ice.

I get what you mean.
Black ice is like a puddle that froze overnight and doesn't have to be deep or noticeable (hence the nickname).
Cabled would appear to be what I would call the leftover ruts in the snow and ice that are the last to melt.

Well,it's Friday.
I predict that my family and I will spend 2 to 3 hours at the range today.
10 pumpkins and 10 ,1 pound jars of tannerite. 5 ARs,3 shotguns,6 pistols and an old Marlin 45/70.
That's just what I'm breaking out.
