They are responsible for what THEY SAY, not for what another fellow says.

For example, calling Rittenhouse an alt right nazi - or lying that he transported a gun across state lines - or that he illegally possessed his firearm, or that zimmerman was white, or pretending that treyvon was 12 years old by publishing his sixth grade class photo instead of his 17 year old, six foot corpse - all of these would have resulted in big money losses under the law you and I support.

By what criteria would you prove that Zimmerman was not White?  Would there have to be a DNA test?
How much non-European DNA would i need to show to prove that Zimmerman was a "person of color"?
Do you propose that the "one drop rule" be ruled to be a legal standard?

Now the media will be held responsible for defamation. You got to tell your viewers this isn't news this is just my opinion. Opening up reporters from pushing fake news and letting their viewers not know its opinion and not fact. 

I'm glad Florida is passing this law and applaud it. Now opinion based reporting needs to tell you if it is opinion or fact. Bravo.

The problem with that law is that most media companies already admit in their disclaimers that they are not responsible for the opinions aired on their platforms thus giving them blanket immunity from prosecution .....in most cases.

By his identity, ***. He identified as a afro-peruvian, spoke perfect Spanish, associated with mostly black folks and brown folks.

I'll give you a few examples that hit close to home, since you are a committed child groomer. 

When the media lies that desantis is a book burner because he causes the removalof books from elementary schools which teach prepubescent children how to give handjobs, they could be held to account for those lies.  

When Rachael Madcow tricks people into participating in medical experiments by outright lying that the vax stops covid in its tracks, she could be sued in Florida for that.

When CNN and MSDNC lied that Rittenhouse was an alt-right white supremacist, they could be taken down and face **** in Florida for that.

There's three examples, groomer, of what the legislation could accomplish.
