I believe that all knowledge is better than all ignorance. It is better to know that queer Black people, and even queer White people exist than to pretend that they do not. I am not really concerned why James Baldwin was gay, but surely some other people are, so books about this should not be banned. Gay people do not bother me, people who have one eye a different color than another, people who can write with both hands, all exist. So I try to treat all people with the same respect.
