I disagree that Disney is "defying" Disantos. There is no law against hosting events catering to gays.
DiSantos was married at Disney, by the way. He is at least as tacky as Fantasyland.
I am not gay, I have worked with and been friends with a number of gays and Lesbians over the years.
DiSantos had NO reason to mess with Disney's sweetheart deal with Reedy Creek other than spite and grandstanding. It was a nasty trick that I fin reprehensible.
I am personally not very fond of Disney World, I have visited there only once, with my daughter and one of her friends.
For a summer, I worked in King's Dominion, an amusement park N. of Richmond, VA. I did cash control, collecting the money doing accounting reports. A fringe benefit was that I ended up with about $50 in silver quarters and dimes. There were not many in circulation, but I was good at spotting them. I ride all the rides, saw all the acts, And I think that exhausted my desire for amusement parks. Kings Dominion was basically a cheap knockoff of Disney, owned by the Taft family of Ohio (President / Chief Justice Taft, Senator Bob Taft. The Taft in charge was Dudley Taft, a guy who flunked out of an Ivy League school and still managed to become some sort of honcho.
Kings Dominion had no Mickey or Donald. Instead it had Hanna Barbera characters: Scooby Doo, Fred Flintstone, Huckleberry Hound, the Jetsons.
The most memorable event was on July 4th when Kings Dominion hired radio celebrity Wolfman Jack to do his act. The Wolfman demanded one million dollars, paid in cash in tens and twenties. We were responsible for putting together his payment. This was in the glorious Bicentennial year of 1976 and the song "Afternoon delight" played on the radio about once an hour.
We had the Wolfman's million all counted out three hours before he was to pick it up in a suitcase. When we heard he was coming, the local executive came by and asked us (duh!) if we had counted correctly, and he was the one who opened the door, and handed the loot to Wolfman's chauffeur, who put it in the back seat. We didn't get a change to see the Wolfman, he came in a black Cadillac limo with very dark tinted windows. July 4 was a very busy time. There were lots of fireworks.

Disneyland (in Orlando) has been hosting Gay Days to accommodate the Alphabet People for over 30 years (since 1991)... I'm not sure when Xavier washed up on our Miami shoreline like a piece of Manatee ****, but that was before Ron Desantis became our State's Governor... It has long been a Homo pilgrimage of sorts, with thousands attending every year.. So this is nothing new at all.
It is also in defiance of nothing, because there were never any restrictions or ban put on Disney's sponsorship or association of the Homo Pride movement by Governor DeSantis or the State... This is about those on the Left who continue on with the completely false narrative of our "Parental Rights in Education" bill, which keeps classroom instruction on Gender Association & Sexual Identity out of our Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd Grade classrooms ---- renaming it the "Don't Say Gay" bill, in a grotesque attempt to sway opinion & gain support through deception.. We see this exact same tactic used by these lying degenerates regarding what they are calling a "Book Ban", and the removal of Black History from school curriculum -- when the fact is the books in question were proven to be of explicit & vulgar sexual content that had nothing to do with educating, and were age inappropriate.. The LGBT and their propagandists are fools to attach their brands and plant their flags purporting these lies to score political points..
