There's the rub. This ^ is what you are not taking into account. You are not putting yourself in Trump's position. 

Trump is cagey. He is going to sniff it out from every angle. Just returning to twitter in the first place makes MUSK, not Trump, the protagonist. Look what Musk did - he ALLOWED Trump to post. How the **** are you going to predicate your position on Trump's ego, and NOT take Trump's ego into consideration?

Then there are the howls of joy and derision - the raucus knee-slapping of Trump's enemies - when Musk turns around and bans Trump - a possibility that Trump is absolutely going to consider before going back on twitter. 

From Trump's ego-driven perspective, there are one **** of a lot of liabilities to returning - no matter HOW **** juicy that following is. You're betting the fox's appetite will overcome his wariness. I don't think you understand the fox.
