Fooled since 4 years old same way your previous generations were and the generations if any you or siblings/cousins added forward. I am very forgiving persons trapped honoring rule of law, but they forgiveness ends the moment my instincts detect being played by vernacular tribalism.
GPS stuff actually has a function at least. Not some ego-stroking, "friend" ****.Skans » 28 Mar 2023, 9:05 am » wrote: ↑ Exactly! Put the f-ing cell phone away!!! For most people, its a crutch because they can't socially interact. For other's, its the wife's ball-&-chain.
And, that photo - I eerily recognized that I still have a lot of that **** in my closet!!! Oh, except the Garmin - I still use one of those.
No good deed goes unpunished. I would expect nothing less from your we mentality. See I learned to understand life by following vernacular tribalism rather than money trail.Skans » 28 Mar 2023, 9:34 am » wrote: ↑ Whatever. Having you on my jury assures one of 2 outcomes - I will walk because you can't just say "GUILTY". Or, I will win my appeal because you are mentally unfit to sit on a jury. Boss Skans thanks you for your civic service!!! :)
You don't need a cell phone for that! I buy used Garmins off of Ebay. The good ones come with free updates. It might track me - I don't know, but they are easy enough to destroy.DeezerShoove » 28 Mar 2023, 9:41 am » wrote: ↑ GPS stuff actually has a function at least. Not some ego-stroking, "friend" ****.
Garmin charges for updates after a time period has passed, and updates are rather expensive.Skans » 28 Mar 2023, 9:45 am » wrote: ↑ You don't need a cell phone for that! So my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandparents are to blame. Those **** bastards should have known better.Nostradamus'omh » 28 Mar 2023, 9:38 am » wrote: ↑ Fooled since 4 years old same way your previous generations were and the generations if any you or siblings/cousins added forward. My rage is channeled to exposing reasonable doubt, not destroying what living needs to survive after the final conflict ends.
Remember this, final conflict is the original sin. Denying oneself is being eternally separated now.
Actually, that's true. As for updates, I've never paid for them, but if I had to I would. They can't be that much.Xavier_Onassis » 28 Mar 2023, 10:00 am » wrote: ↑ Garmin charges for updates after a time period has passed, and updates are rather expensive.
No need to destroy a Garmin, you can simply erase its memory.
when nobody was right, everyone was wrong is left.MR-7 » 28 Mar 2023, 10:06 am » wrote: ↑ So my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandparents are to blame. Those **** bastards should have known better.
How do you know when to destroy it?Skans » 28 Mar 2023, 9:45 am » wrote: ↑ You don't need a cell phone for that! I buy used Garmins off of Ebay. The good ones come with free updates. It might track me - I don't know, but they are easy enough to destroy.
When it stops working. My last one finally stopped working. So, I just got on Ebay and bought another. $50 for a Garmin seems to last me about 6 years or so.DeezerShoove » 28 Mar 2023, 5:58 pm » wrote: ↑ How do you know when to destroy it?
Why not tape it to a bus?
I have 2 of them. Nuvi 255w.Skans » 28 Mar 2023, 6:03 pm » wrote: ↑ When it stops working. My last one finally stopped working. So, I just got on Ebay and bought another. $50 for a Garmin seems to last me about 6 years or so.
The one I'm using is the nuvi 2555 LMT - whatever all that means. Supposed to have free lifetime maps.
I don't know what mine has. Probably have to pay.Skans » 28 Mar 2023, 6:14 pm » wrote: ↑ The one I'm using is the nuvi 2555 LMT - whatever all that means. Supposed to have free lifetime maps.
Mine says "lifetime maps" on the box. I updated it once. I'll update it again in about a year.DeezerShoove » 28 Mar 2023, 8:59 pm » wrote: ↑ I don't know what mine has. Probably have to pay.
I think I got them thrown in when I bought a car.
Garmin has a link for updating discontinued devices.Skans » 29 Mar 2023, 7:24 am » wrote: ↑ Mine says "lifetime maps" on the box. I updated it once. I'll update it again in about a year.
I find that Garmin's navigation works better than what is installed in most vehicles, and much better than Waze navigation. In fact, I hate Waze - it truly sucks.DeezerShoove » 29 Mar 2023, 8:02 am » wrote: ↑ Garmin has a link for updating discontinued devices.
First is a software update then a map update. Makes sense.
This device is 2008. Got it when I bought a truck.
Weird since the truck had a navigation system in it.
My experience is mixed. Garmin brand new was already out of date. Back then.Skans » 29 Mar 2023, 8:17 am » wrote: ↑ I find that Garmin's navigation works better than what is installed in most vehicles, and much better than Waze navigation. In fact, I hate Waze - it truly sucks.
