Your cherry picking to attack civil rights obscures the real issue. Most people would PREFER death by gun over death by burning, bombing, knifing, etc.
The issue is violent crime. The statistics prove beyond question that violent crime DOES NOT DEPEND on the avialability of guns for its expression. Take away the guns, criminals resort to other means.

Rifles are 3% of ALL gun violence. AR15's are less than a percent of rifle violence. So you want to ban a rifle that will make NO difference in gun violence? That's pretty smart. LOL
Why do you only want to ban the AR15, when it is just over half the recent mass shootings? Why not ban the MCX and the AK? They are similar to the AR15. This doesn't make any sense. Do you only care about just over half the victims?
