Giving an overpowered government more tools to trample rights is "something" - I will grant you that. Just not necessarily THE thing.
I've already shown in Punch's gun grabbing thread that the murder rates are twice and three times as high in Mexico and Brazil, where guns are rarely used. Murder and violence do not depend on guns - so spending a lot of emotional, political and legislative energy on the gun is the very definition of stupid.
I will grant you this much: Red flag laws at least focus on individuals, not guns in general. But at this point, I believe gun advocates are wise to never give a **** inch, as the agenda of the anti-gunners is manifest and undeniable.

That's a fact...cause the J6 protesters killed no one...even though the filthy lying democrats accused them killing multiple cops.
The cop the dems said the protesters kill with a fire extinguisher was seen later that day walking around in the building...he died one or two days later from a stroke.
