By Biden haters, certainly.  The same folks that think that a guy who can remember "person, man, woman, camera, television" for five minutes is a **** genius.  I would have no problem saying - or agreeing - that an Irishman designed the Oval Office which is in the nation's capitol.

I am sure that he knew his audience, and they all clearly agreed.  The Gaelic football team from County Mayo hasn't won the All- Ireland Sam McGuire Cup since 1951.  Mayo is Joe's ancestral hometown.  He was wishing them luck in this year's competition.  He got a rousing reception for that remark.  Sort of like JFK saying  "Ich bin ein Berliner" at the wall.
