I seriously had to help a few  men get a tick off their dik? ticks luv to hide in bad places! Calm down dear- i've seen it all before... but men are more spleeny then women i think .    

I'm positive it works. It takes a few minutes, but it beats pulling them out and leaving the head embedded and you getting a massive infection that requires surgery and massive antibiotics to fight the gang green that MIGHT kill you.

Just so you know, you can rub Vaseline on the backside of the tick and in a few minutes he will let go. They breath out their butts when they embed or latch on and that forces them to let go or die.

I've been in places where I've gotten upwards of 30 ticks on me a day.
Part of the job.
Blouse your pants in your boots.
Spray a DEET based insect repellant on your boots up to your knees.
Tick checks every night when you get home. On you and your clothing.
If you have one dug in you pull it out by the head. I use a tick fork. Never touch them with a match or put anything on them such as petroleum products or insecticides to get them to release. This causes them to spew their juices and whatever diseases they have back into you.

Don't forget global warming is affecting baseball. More people are hitting home runs.

ha ha ha.. I never hit him- as much as i wanted too.        I have had 3 of these.. The other vet was petrified. Very happy breed. but on the other hand very nasty too!

I've had sweet labs - but they EAT everything. My Lab Cracklin Rosie ate an entire mans work boot.. we took her to the vet when she collapsed... We were clued in- when the metal eyelets of the boot showed up in the x-ray.. entire boot gone! yum   yum...

Well, I didn't want to lose the pup to his own attempt at dominance.
He hurt me (a little) but letting him get away with it would have been worse.

Also, the bad thing some people do is hold a resentment to an animal.
Once we got past the incident, I acted as if nothing happened.
Dogs need to know structure. Show them where the envelop is when they push it.
