Women don't care about women's sports. They rarely attend sporting event for women. They give no **** about sports. What they care about is not dying when they get some complications in their pregnancy.

Sports are good exercise. Spectator sports are entertainment, nothing more. The Romans main issues: bread and circuses
The GOP made this an issue, because like abortion, it is a highly emotional issue and cost very little to oppose.
What really matters are housing, medical care, advanced education and infrastructure. But they all cost money.

But, you are wrong about women's sports. This isn't about women attending sporting events for entertainment. Its about women raising daughters who train and play their guts out only to get trans-whooped by some boy pretending to be a a girl. In essence it kills girls sports. Yeah, women actually care deeply about this.
