The DEAD IDIOT was confrontational with the police as they made a LAWFUL order for his ID. Secondly, HE SHOULD HAVE COMPLIED and he likely would have been on his way and has some kind of ticket for something minor that won't get him killed.

THIRD, you VERBALLY TELL THE OFFICER YOU ARE CARRYING. AND you step out of your vehicle and ALLOW THAT OFFICER to remove your weapon so that NO ONE gets harmed or shot. You are NOT going to lose it and because you were 100% compliant, you find a level of respect that goes up, not putting the cops in a DEFENSIVE posture.

The BOTTOM LINE is that STUPIDITY is the reason this idiot was shot and killed. NO other explanation needed and the VIDEO shows that conclusion to be 100% SPOT ON!!
Completely agree! He was one of those "free citizen" morons. The gene pool just got a little bit safer.

Funny how I didn't hear a word of this on the news. I have to come here to this thread to hear about it for the first time.

But if that white boy was a ***, the whole world would know his name.

Fake journalists promoting an agenda instead of holding government accountable need to be targeted for assassinations.

Just how warm and fuzzy would you feel waking up to the news that Jim Acosta, Don Lemon or Joy Reid were gun downed in the early morning hours walking to their car to head to the studio to spread hate speech and propaganda? 🐹🥰

So you're saying the cops should have waited until he shot a couple of them BEFORE they "returned fire"??

You're as big an IDIOT as the DEAD DUMBARSE was.

The kid was holding a cell phone videoing the events.  He was belligerent, but not threatening the cops with violence.  You can tell by the voice of the initial cop that he was not just "confident" but acting rather cocky toward the kid. The cop did not fee threatened.  And, the kid did not go for his gun.  I watched the entire thing and it was a bad shoot.
He then transfers the phone with which he is recording the incident from his right hand to his left hand. He simultaneously moves his coat back to reveal a holster on his right hip, the video shows.
You couldn't see any of this in the video.  What actually happened is the kid opened the door, and as he was opening it, the cop saw a gun.  He fired multiple times at the kid and into the car, continuously, without ever being threatened or fired upon.  The cop over-reacted and killed the kid instantly.
I have been pulled over once while carrying.  Up and down the southeast the laws differ concerning whether or not you have to tell a cop you are carrying.  My CCP is behind my wallet.  I handed the cop both.
That is a wise thing to do.  And, keeping your hands on your steering wheel would be another wise thing to do.  I've been pulled over while carrying too.  The officer asked for my wallet, and it was in the same place as my gun - in a gym bag.  I kept my hands on the steering wheel, explained that I was armed, that I have a CC permit and that my wallet is where my gun is.  I simply asked the officer to direct me as to what he wants me to do.  He asked that I first hand him my gun.  I complied, while explaining that there was one-in-the-pipe and asking him to be very careful.  He then asked for my license - I gave it to him, and asked that I step out of the car (he was observing me), which I did.  The cop explained that he is unloading my gun and when he's finished he'll give me my gun, magazine and bullets back, sort of apologetically.  I stood there, still as could be and silent, for as long as it took.  Wrote me a speeding ticket, gave me back my gun, mag and cartridges and I was on my way.
I am not sure if it is a bad shooting. Fake license plate, possible fake passport, no license, claims he doesn't have to follow our laws, refuses to exit the vehicle, issues a threat, then moves his hand to his right hip where the visible holster is.
The kid was a stupid dick for sure, and it got him killed.  Still, I watched it and the cop overreacted.  I would agree, however, that its not clear-cut. the kid's dickish behavior didn't help things and probably put the cops on edge.

Oh, so YOUR video is all the "proof: you need??

How about one that SHOWS PLAINLY his actions TOWARD THE HOLSTERED GUN and that is considered a DIRECT THREAT to the police office. HE calls GUN, and Allen was SHOT before he could fire it.He HAD drawn the GUN and was PREPARED TO USE IT!! And you can see ALL the BODY CAMS that were on that day!!

So SURELY you can explain how Allen's WEAPON ended up on the floorboard of his car IF he didn't draw it??

You see, I RESEARCH my claims BEFORE I make them. Seems you forgot that, huh??

You are right and wrong...ASSHOLE!!!

The driver was not cooperative at all...which is his right to do.

A cop reached into the car and could have easily restrained the driver when the pistol on his right side was in play. They didn't need the equivalent of a Gatling Gun to stop the driver.  The cops were reasonable and handled it well up until they broke the glass alarm and open fire.

If the cops were concerned then they should have been READY to restrain, not start WWIII.   I know cops have a hard time...and I have always supported cops...but this did not have to happen.

8:12 of MY video. That GUN didn't just fall out of his HOLSTER!!! THEY CALLED GUN because he had it in his HAND!! PERIOD!!

That is what they are TRAINED TO DO and why the shot him.

And cooperation means YOU AREN'T STUPID and don't escalate the situation to where YOUR OWN STUPIDITY gets you hurt OR KILLED!! And you aren't right in that he has a "right" to not cooperate. The rights you DO have is to REFUSE a search, and to REFUSE to answer ANY questions- and that MUST BE STATED AS MUCH WHEN YOU ARE ASKED A QUESTION- and MUST identify yourself when asked, which he BLATANTLY REFUSED TO DO until he realize that this wasn't going well. And you DO have to step out of your car IF asked in MOST states.

No.  The kid had no right to do what he did.  The cop asked for a license, he handed him a passport and told the cop "it wasn't him". Right there, the cop had the right to ask the kid to step out of his car and had probable cause to arrest him for providing him with false identification.

Still, that did not entitle the cop to blast the **** out of the kid as he did.  The cop could have done a number of things when he saw the gun.
  • "put your hands on the steering wheel where I can see them".
  • "get out of the car slowly with your hands in the air".
  • "don't move" and called for back-up.
Cop over-reacted and he will pay the price.

Seems the guy considered himself a “sovereign citizen “

I have seen a lot of them on YouTube

Not sure where they came from, but I have heard there reasoning, even in court cases

It’s kinda on the order of “you don’t really have to pay taxes” kinda reasoning

guy took it too far it seems

Look at the FULL video I posted and you will see the reality of this in that it was a totally justified shooting by the cops.He DID reach for his weapon, and had it drawn. It didn't hit the floor of his car by itself!!

They could have placed a cop on the passenger window ready to shoot if the gun came free.  They over reacted.

The wiser choice would have been to not go for your gun while surrounded by the cops... especially after being belligerent and combative up until that point.

It reminds me of someone walking into the crosswalk regardless of what the traffic is doing because they have the "right of way" because they are a pedestrian. While they are technically correct, it still isn't going to keep them from getting hit by a speeding bus.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

"they could haves" are your defense?? Well, the FACT IS, you WILL get shot inside of 1 second, which is the time you as a cop have to react. They followed their training and when GUN was called, they shot. Which is standard protocol for ANY person who pulls a weapon. PERIOD!!

And there was a cop at the passenger window. So there goes THAT excuse.
