Face it... it was clearly an anomalous election.... unlike any we'd ever had... and it coincided with the reelection bid of the most divisive and atypical republican candidate that we'd ever had. The only other time the GOP had nominated a candidate for president without experience in eleted office was Ike, And he was a beloved national hero. Trump was a self aggrandizing TV huckster. Layer on that a pandemic.... To expect the electorate to "behave normally" in that situation is ridiculous.
