Well it is a question to ask yourself and my example was Donald Trump. I think his efforts in North Korea were positive even if he seemed to be flooding Twitter with a constant presence which was unproductive among other things. The thread is about Chinese crap. You label China crap and therefore everything they make is crap. Classic halo effect. I'm I missing something? It applies to politicians too. They actually make pretty good cell phones but I wouldn't buy their planes for instance.

I think I have seen some gizmo that, according to the vendor.
It was some ancient device once used in a hospital. He said, "I don;t know what it is, but it disrupts TV, radio and cellphones all around here when I plug it in."
Really good golf clubs are often sold a rich folks' sales. $50 for a $1000 set, complete with a bag and lots of tees and balls.
Some guy worked where all the execs played golf. Then he quit and started his own business.

As for golf clubs - garage sales can be a great place to find a decent set, if they fit you. And, if you are a hacker, like me. I needed a set of golf clubs because at one time my employer required all employees at a certain level to play golf. Golf is just slightly more fun than working and it isn't anything I would ever choose for myself to waste a bunch of time doing.

The instructor was an undergrad who did not know much about the subject. I have no golf clubs, but I know that they can be very expensive, and there are very, very few golfers who visit garage sales.
