Your example was Joe Biden,  implying I had some bias without regard to his performance.....which is, of course,  ludicrous.

Well it is a question to ask yourself and my example was Donald Trump. I think his efforts in North Korea were positive even if he seemed to be flooding Twitter with a constant presence which was unproductive among other things. You even have a halo effect with my comment.

The thread is about Chinese crap. You label China crap and therefore everything they make is crap. Classic halo effect. I'm I missing something? It applies to politicians too. They actually make pretty good cell phones but I wouldn't buy their planes for instance.

I see how you added our president to the calculation of China. Same principle. You think everything is bad about Biden because like China you have already decided in your perception that everything he does is negative.

The ideal place to find screws, bolts, nuts and such? GARAGE SALES!
A box of 100 screws goes for a dollar. Of course, there might be one to a dozen missing.
Other real bargains: picture frames, printer paper, both plain and for photos, car wax, kitchen tools, pots pans and blelnders

I can't buy a cell phone jammer at a garage sale.

I think I have seen some gizmo that, according to the vendor.
It was some ancient device once used in a hospital. He said, "I don;t know what it is, but it disrupts TV, radio and cellphones all around here when I plug it in."

Really good golf clubs are often sold a rich folks' sales. $50 for a $1000 set, complete with a bag and lots of tees and balls.
Some guy worked where all the execs played golf.  Then he quit and started his own business.

I doubt that you actually have a real need to buy a plane.

That would be it.  It disrupts cellphone signals, wi-fi and probably other radio-wave devices. Questionable how legal it would to actually use one of those in public - violating FCC regulations likely.

As for golf clubs - garage sales can be a great place to find a decent set, if they fit you.  And, if you are a hacker, like me.  I needed a set of golf clubs because at one time my employer required all employees at a certain level to play golf. Golf is just slightly more fun than working and it isn't anything I would ever choose for myself to waste a bunch of time doing.

The instructor was an undergrad who did not know much about the subject. I have no golf clubs, but I know that they can be very expensive, and there are very, very few golfers who visit garage sales.

Hypothetically. A Chinese company is trying to compete with Airbus and Boeing right now. From what I hear they stole most of the technology.

You think for one minute China hasn't made Joe Biden?

The same way they've made Mitch McConnell.

Does China have any propaganda wing in America? I know Russia does. There's even been offers for Tucker Carlson to do Russian owned media air time.
