The safety of women and children has FOREVER been a thing about which to war and it has NEVER been a thing about which to debate. How to KEEP them safe might be debatable - but keeping them so is not. And letting men into women's and girls' showers undebatably endangers them. Sexualizing children undebatably endangers them. Housing female prisoners with male sex offenders undebatably endangers them. 

 And you have to corner these rats and squeeze agreement out of them that any of these things are wrong - and even then, you have to put up with them suggesting the matter has been exagerrated, or it's not very common and therefore not very important. You are familiar with the concept "damn with faint praise."

There is a corrollary to that. And that corrollary is to defend with faint condemnation. If a fellow has to be cornered to issue even a milque-toast agreement that a horrific crime might be a bit off, that is the corrollary to damning with faint praise. 

Kelly gave six upvotes to a fellow for declaring THE MOST CRITICAL ISSUE OF OUR TIME a "non-issue." And he followed that up with a post agreeing that the issues the OP raises are "non-issues."
