even number in the V formation, so the one in front makes it look like odds on one side and evens on the other. A perfect V would be an odd number there.

Look at the cylinder.  Reminiscent of a  Webley-Fosbery semi-auto revolver, designed around the turn of the 19th century. 


The USAS-12 is one of the best full-auto shotguns ever made.  It was designed in the US, mostly manufactured in the daewoo plant in Korea, and then semi-auto versions manufactured in the US (Tennessee, I believe).  The ATF under that cock-sucker Bill Clinton re-defined the semi-auto USAS-12's as "Destructive Devices" requiring registration as Class III weapons in the 1990's.

The cylinder etching is identical.  Does it have a function or is simply aesthetics?

On the Webley Revolver, when you fire, the upper part of the frame actually slides backwards on the lower part of the frame (grip-frame), and a fixed stud attached to the lower part of the frame goes into the groove forcing the cylinder to turn.  I believe it (or another part) also then cocks the hammer before the upper frame returns back into "fire" position.

IIRC, on the Pancor, I believe it uses a gas piston of sorts to force a rod into the groove to turn the cylinder.  However, I'm not 100% certain of this.

Okay, I see.  But that sounds to complicated for a full auto shotgun.  Am I missing something?

Yes, you're missing a couple of things.  First, the shotgun uses a gas piston/rod, I believe - not that complex.  Second, there were very few Pancor Jackhammers ever made.  The design pretty much sucks.  It looks a lot cooler than it really is.\

Are you saying the lead goose or gander is the fulcrum of the line framed in two sided triangle. Now here is a question, is every v the same numbers or just a family unite in the flock migrating in the same direction?

Is every V the same angle of separation from the fulcrum in the lead?

I don't know the specific answer because I never cared enough to know it or even study it. Oh, does the weather, winds affect the angle of the V. Stronger winds would require a smaller angle, calmer winds would allow wider separation for the same drafting effects in flight.

Instincts are a wonder human intellect stays away from on purpose.

I am familiar with the SAIGA 12.  Have you ever seen a high speed video of what happens to the thin, stamped steel frame of that thing when you shoot it?  It flexes like a damn rubber-band.  You are much better off buying one of the AR 12-gauge shotguns. 

There  were only 2 styles of AK's (true AK's, not Valmets and Galils) ever made that were any good:  1) the original milled receiver AK's (and some copies of the milled receiver variant), and 2) the 1.6mm thick stamped steel and properly heat treated AK made by Polytech.  There are tons of **** AK variants out there with 1mm receivers.  A few with 1.5mm receivers, which are ok.  The Chinese Polytech AK's had chrome-lined barrels and bores, thicker barrels, were properly heat treated, had 1.6mm receivers and the internal parts were actually very high quality for an AK.

My Uncle killed a goose at the age of four, for making his 2 year old sister - my mom - cry. He went and got a hammer, and he did for the goose, and then he hid it under the house.

The goose had been intended for Christmas, and it went of a sudden from nicely fatted to disappeared - and nobody knew nothin. My grandfather searched it out when it got ripe, and he saw it had been murdered and stuffed under the home. It took no great detective work - he asked his namesake why'd ya do it. My uncle said the bird had made his sister cry, and he had a hammer. My grand dad laughed and told him always look out for your sister, but next time, let us eat it instead of hiding it. 
 
My uncle grew up to be pretty legendary. Ya start by killing a yard goose at four, you're gonna grow up having a pair. Ya gotta figure, the goose was a MIGHTY foe in the eyes of a four year old. Only a keen sense of duty and a rare resolve is gonna turn a four year old into a questing knight intent on slaying a dragon.
