The goal of the Daughters of the Confederacy was precisely to whitewash the motives of the Confederacy. They dread this "states rights" lie crap and built heroic statues of the generals and others who fought in it to justify Jim Crow, lynchings and segregation.

The fact that someone has fought in a war does not mean that one actually understands what the motives their side was fighting for. 

Not one in a hundred people who fought in the Korean War knew about the assassinations between the North and the South Koran governments- both of them dictatorships that precipitated the Korean War.

The reason soldiers fight is to defend themselves and their comrades in arms.

The Nazis stole the lands of the Poles, Czechs, Slovaks and others to expand the Reich.
Andrew Jackson stole the lands of the  Five Civilized Tribes (Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek and Seminole) and sold the farmland they had cleared for $1.25 an acre.

The Nazis enslaved the Jews and Slavs to work in the munitions industries. The Confederates bred the Black people to pick cotton and serve in other servants' roles.

Speaking of these Native American tribes you just mentioned…… you know what they were doing before the white man showed up? Tribes slaughtering other tribes over the same damn land. Stop being jelly because someone else showed up and “won” the battle of conquest.

Yes, of course it is simple. Southern Congressmen were on the Defense Dept (or War Dept., as it was once known) that voted to built the forts and name them.

This is FALSE. After 1876, the Southerners could do whatever they Hell they wanted, and the bases named for Confederate generals were built and named long after 1876.

Stop pretending to know history.
