First, don't waste your breath with numbers that are worthless from just a few months into Trump's term, fool! If you had any interest in discussing the border honestly, you'd compare the numbers TO THE LAST MONTHS OF TRUMP'S TERM, AFTER all his efforts were put into effect! The changes orchestrated by Trump after your traitor Obama opened the border completely as he did could NOT be done inside the mere 4 months of your worthless example, nitwit!maineman » 06 May 2023, 1:56 pm » wrote: ↑ Three points:
First: May 2019.... that was under the clown's watch, wasn't it? Do you call 133K illegals crossing in that one month a "mere trickle"?![]()
Second: The clown's administration built about 450 miles (725 kilometers) of wall, though only about 52 miles (84 kilometers) were in areas where no barrier previously existed. The border is 1951 miles long. That means that the "wall" that the clown built was 23% of the needed barrier. And of that, only 11% was NEW. If you wanted to keep the deer out of your large rectangular apple orchard, do you think that a fence erected on just one side of it would be effective in protecting your apples?
Third: As I said earlier, the forces that impact the extent of migration from Central and South America have a great deal to do with what is happening socially and economically in Central and South America and very little to do with who is sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

mainetool knows Biden's border is a mess...that's why he would rather talk about Trump.Zeets2 » 07 May 2023, 8:48 am » wrote: ↑ First, don't waste your breath with numbers that are worthless from just a few months into Trump's term, fool! Second, what you so ignorantly claim was an "existing border" was nothing more than a broken down short fencing that even a dope like you wouldn't think could stop a single illegal from crossing, as shown in these pictures. Too bad you're gullible enough to believe that absurd "fact" that you were fed by the leftist media you so need and love!:
And thirdly, why don't you show us where it states in the US Constitution that we must ignore our own borders any time another country has those "social and economic problems" you're SO concerned with?
Fools like you can never get it through your empty heads how dangerous it is to allow MILLIONS of illegals into our country that can easily include terrorists, Mexican gangs, drug dealers, child sex traffickers, and every other criminal element, as we've seen proven by the number of illegals here that have committed rape, robbery, murder, and too many assaults to count, which is apparently just fine with liberal idiots like you!
And when we're forced to endure another 9/11, you lying scumbag liberals will bend over backwards attempting to blame Trump for it, as we all know!
First. I want to express my condolences for you having to go through life so mathematically challenged. Follow along now.... the clown was inaugurated in January of 2017. January of 2018 would be TWELVE months into his term. January of 2019 would be TWENTY-FOUR months into his term. May of 2019, which is the month I cited, would be TWENTY-EIGHT months into his term. NOBODY I know ever referred to twenty-eight as "just a few".Zeets2 » 07 May 2023, 8:48 am » wrote: ↑ First, don't waste your breath with numbers that are worthless from just a few months into Trump's term, fool! It's certainly not his fault. But he certainly didn't FIX it and he didn't build a wall and Mexico didn't pay for it and he certainly didn't GIVE US BORDER SECURITY.Z09 » 07 May 2023, 8:59 am » wrote: ↑ Hear Maineman?

Second. I agree. The existing border was broken down short fencing and he repaired 400 miles of that existing fencing and built 50 miles of NEW wall where none had existed. Which totals 23% of the border. Again.... if you have an apple orchard that is a square field a mile on each side, and you want to keep the herd of deer in the area from eating your apples, would building a fence on just one of the four sides be an effective deterrent? Y/N?
Thirdly, I would point you to the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. Perhaps, if we can no longer live up to those ideals, we should send the statue back to France
Or this one, from the Biden-loving NY Times:Border Crossings 3 Times Higher Under Biden Than TrumpNewsweek BY NICK REYNOLDS ON 9/20/22The U.S. Border Patrol is reporting more than three times the number of encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border than it experienced under former President Donald Trump, punctuating what Republicans have defined as a "crisis" level situation at the southern border that has emerged under President Joe Biden's leadership.Data from the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) and Office of Field Operations (OFO) compiled by Newsweek show that the average number of encounters under Biden reached totals of roughly 189,000 per month, compared to an average of just under 51,000 per month during the Trump presidency. The rate is so significant that Biden, in fewer than two years, has already wracked up over one million more illegal crossings than Trump did throughout his entire administration—including more than 2 million crossings in 2022 alone.
And then you want to count the words on a statue constructed by foreigners to pre-empt our Constitution and the laws decided on by our own country?Illegal Border Crossings, Driven by Pandemic and Natural Disasters, Soar to Record HighMigrants were encountered 1.7 million times in the last 12 months, the highest number of illegal crossings recorded since at least 1960.

On which statue did it ever state that those legally welcomed into our country would never have to face any checks to their background or that ALL must be free to enter at will, criminals, terrorists, and drug dealers included? Are you completely unaware of the fact that there is not a single country in the world that would ever allow something that stupid? Are you also unaware that LEGAL immigrants once needed the sponsor of a US citizen to obtain a visa or a green card? So why is it that if the wide-open border that Biden and Obama (and you) obviously favor, WHY DIDN'T THEY HAVE CONGRESS REWRITE OUT IMMIGRATION LAWS WHEN BOTH HAD COMPLETE CONTROL OF CONGRESS AND COULD HAVE EASILY DONE SO?
You back?maineman » 07 May 2023, 10:29 am » wrote: ↑ cute shuffle away from your math **** up!![]()

That's worth more than just a few laughs!
And if you are claiming that Obama had complete control of Congress and could have easily rewritten immigration laws, it would seem that you flunked civics class along with math class. Can you say F I L I B U S T E R?
And if that word is not in your vocabulary, maybe you also flunked History class because the clown had the exact same level of "complete control of Congress" for the first two years of his presidency.
And I notice you completely forgot to address my apple orchard analogy. Why IS that???

Do YOU believe our communities are less safe when we have millions of new illegals who are not screened for their criminal background? YES OR NO?President Trump’s immigration policies have made our communities less safe, undermined our economy, and tarnished our image around the world.

Make no mistake: President Trump’s abject failure to respond forcefully and capably to the COVID-19 pandemic—his failure to lead—makes him responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans.
And under Biden about twice as many of Americans have died..
Next!
Under Biden we have higher interest rates and 40 year high inflation...
Rising energy prices..
Your party:
Democrats stand ready to take immediate, decisive action to pull the economy out of President Trump’s recession by investing in infrastructure, care work, clean energy, and small businesses to put Americans to work in good-paying jobs; shoring up state and local budgets to save jobs and protect public health in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; and enacting fundamental reforms to address structural and systemic racism and entrenched income and wealth inequality in our economy and our banking system.
