A war that ended in defeat. Your education was paid for by my taxes and I can assure you that I never wanted my country to send troops to Iraq.  Big oil was the reason the US screwed up Afghanistan in the 1970's, and the reason that Iraq invaded Kuwait.

The US should pay its bills.  Idiots who took out education loans should repay their loans.  Programs should be cut until the US can pay its bills.  I don't care if this means a reduction of the military by 50% and all entitlements by 50% as well.

  Corporation groups first, you can not keep throwing money at groups of people who believe that the customer is always wrong and sends its workers off down the open road with nothing or collects on dead peasants insurance.

The Southern states seceded BEFORE Lincoln took office. Lincoln did not run on a platform of abolishing slavery.
The Standing Bear Trial took place in 1879, 15 years after the Civil War ended.

No on actually NEEDS diamonds, a least not the decorative kind.
There are some uses for industrial diamonds.
Petroleum is essential for many industrial uses.
