Subways are the most efficient method of urban transport in most countries. But in the US, private cars and taxis and "livery services" are the mode used by the people who vote to build and maintain the subways, and they do not use them. In other countries, subways are financed by the national government. In the US this is done by the municipalities.

The only hope I have in China is that they send me my cheap mechanical watch I paid for.  As for Russia - not interested in having anything to do with them.  I'd press the button to light off a bunch of nukes on both of those nations the first time they try to F- around with the American Nation, if you and others would vote me into power.
