My favorites were all the tropical fruit we could eat after re-supplying the carrier at S. Pacific and Asian ports. Mangos!

            On rare occasions in Honduras when we went to town, we could load up on the local fruit which was excellent, and dirt cheap --- but obviously we spent more time loading up on the booze & broads in the bars & bordellos... The Philippines had a ton of different exotic fruits & vegetables..

In Olongapo, ever have a few San Miguels at Peso Jimmy's?  I might have that name wrong. Tiny place had ice cold brew for 2 pesos at the time. How about balut? I had to down a few brews before I ate one. Eggs with a crunch. MMMmmmm!

              Never made it down to Olongo... That was Navy Town, Subic.

       I did a few TDY (Temp Duty) from Suwon AB Korea to Clark Air Base outside Angeles City.. I know that **** half-hatched Duck Egg you're talking about... I just couldn't get drunk & brave enough to try one...  I did indeed enjoy many a cold San Miguel, and a much stronger Brew that would seriously hammer you called Red Horse Ale... They were the perfect compliment to the LBFM entertainment for the evening... I try and tell folks of my experience in the P.I. bars, but as you know, it's really beyond description LOL..

Wow, that takes me wayyyyyy back.  I can't count how many Marines I injected with either 4.8 mu of Procaine Penicillin or Trobicin while in Subic. 
I wonder if google has LBFM in there somewhere.
