How is pointing out that Israeli society is softening it's extremist views on the Palestinians because this new generation does now want to live in a state of perpetual conflict anymore .....a bad thing?

          I agree with some of your points --- A few I do not.. Certainly lots of blame and **** dealings to go around. 

      All of the leading Founders of Hamas were members of the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic Religious /  political movement started in Egypt 1928.... This was not an Israeli creation... If you get the opportunity, pick up the book Son of Hamas by Mosab Hassan Yousef He is the son of the Spiritual Leader of Hamas and goes into this in detail --- Mosab himself was a rising player in Hamas before leaving the movement, and the religion of Islam to convert to Christianity... 

      I think the closest the 2 sides came to a true peace was probably 1993 at Oslo... Arafat pretty much could have had 95% of what he was demanding, but still passed.. I believe it came down to the Palestinian's "Right of Return" which neither side will ever budge on.
