I occasionally drink MGD when no one is looking. When people are around, it's newcastle brown ale or guiness. And often when they're not around - I like the stuff. But MGD brings me back to my white trash roots.Skans » 18 May 2023, 10:57 am » wrote: ↑ Yes, Miller light did do some stupid commercials. But, here's the deal:
- I choose not to boycott Miller Light, because they were far less stupid and snotty to their customers than Budweiser was.
- And, I like the taste of Miller and Miller Light.
- Plus, if you think Miller Light hasn't taken note of Budweiser's Blunder, THEY SURE AS **** HAVE.
- When you decide to Boycott a brand(s), you choose the company that was the worst actor of them all, and that most definitely, by a long shot, is InBev-Budweiser.

I do not know how many people believe that Heineken is a German beer brewed in Germany.
They are functionally illiterate and have never bothered to read the label. Or perhaps they think that Netherlands is part of Germany.
For a boycott to succeed, one needs to get a lot of stupid people to join. Even if it is for a just cause.
Is a company printing a woman on the can a serious issue? I do not think so.

I have never been a fan of Bud, nor do I own any ImBev stock. But you are clueless.ANHEUSER-BUSCH INBEV SA/NV : ABI Stock Quotes and Prices | BE0974293251 | MarketScreener

Again I do not care about ImBev or Bud, I just think this is a very silly issue of no consequence to anyone.

Oh, this certainly has some consequences for certain marketing executives of InBev, I would love to be a fly on the wall at the board meeting when they discuss the latest sale figures...Again I do not care about ImBev or Bud, I just think this is a very silly issue of no consequence to anyone.

I've been drinking Yuengling Light - great beer, and I like Miller Light. I actually was a Bud Light and Ultra beer drinker. No more for me. There are really a lot of decent beers out there. This has given me the motivation to explore some others.Bluedevil » 19 May 2023, 12:39 am » wrote: ↑ Imagine you're an executive stock is the worst performing of all stocks in your industry over the last month. It's pretty bad news don't you think? It's down more than 10%. In a month? That's usually a real bad sign. Some stocks don't lose 10% over the course of a months long recession. The next earnings date for the company is in two months. Liberals could step in and buy the stock if they felt it was a winner, but your average American democrat doesn't work. They're not buying stock.
I do love me some Yuengling. I went to a friend's wedding in Pennsylvania several years ago, and it was served to me. I made it a point to grab some every time I went east. If someone was doing a road trip that way, I'd give them some cash and say bring me back as much as you can. Now it's available in Houston.

You are angry, I can see that. Yes, the Conservative boycott wave of Budweiser (and InBev in general) over its embrace of ridiculous "woke" agendas, has been quite effective. They are calling this the biggest marketing blunder of all times, and even with that, most reporters still do not fully understand what happened and what was at stake.Xavier_Onassis » 19 May 2023, 8:03 am » wrote: ↑ I think you transforming yourself into a fly would be a great move.

The champagne of beers - I used to love drinking that stuff, but its loaded with calories. Funny, when I drank it as an early 20-something, I considered it a "classy" beer. White trash beer was Carlings Black Label.Cannonpointer » 18 May 2023, 11:30 pm » wrote: ↑ I occasionally drink MGD when no one is looking. Mickey's Big Mouth was all the rage if you could get one in High School. You weren't "cool" until you had a Mickey's Big Mouth.Cannonpointer » 19 May 2023, 12:37 pm » wrote: ↑ Yup.
