If you had ever served, you would know that is a commonly used phrase that applies to close-knit military units and does NOT only apply to the men in that book.

Clearly, Cletis…you’ve never served. Uniforms come in a variety of styles. Working uniforms, service dress uniforms, full dress uniforms, and dinner dress uniforms. Correspondingly…. No awards, ribbons, full medals, miniature medals. Collar device vary on rank. Mine is a silver oak leaf.
