Most people cannot afford even a new gas engine car. But used electric vehicles are affordable. There is a Nissan Leaf advertised for sale for $5,500 with 62,000 mils on it, and Chevy Volt Hybrid for $9900.

I think you will find that all cell phones are electric, there are no gasoline of gas powered ones available and never have been.

I have a plug in electric lawnmower that cost me $150, and it requires no maintenance, as have every gasoline motor mower.

I took a coffee filter- put the coffee in it.. Tied it off at the top with a rubber band... dropped it into boiling water. On low. 30 minutes..

my stove top coffee pot is always dirty and old... makes a lousy tasting pot of coffee!
gonna buy a new one.

The best and cheapest way to make coffee is a stainless steel French press.  It needs no filters, and all you need to do is zap the water in the microwave and pour it into the pot, then push down on the plunger and pour out coffee.
I bought mine in a garage sale, totally unused-- it was a gift for someone who said their wife liked her Keurig (the most expensive way to make coffee, I think). New a good stainless steel French press costs around $80. I paid $20 for mine.  That was in 1992. How many filters would I have needed to buy in 30 years?
I have tried all the coffeemakers, and this is the best.  The glass French presses do a good job, but they can break.

LOL - they are affordable because their batteries are dying and it costs $20,000 to replace them.

I think I have sharpened one lawnmower blade in my life.  I bought a Black and Decker plugin mower in 1990 for $10 and used it for 12 years. I replaced the blade once, at a cost of under $10.  I quit using it because the safety switch broke and B&D were no longer selling spare parts. The motor never quit, never needed more than cleaning up every month after using it.

I own a file, I know how to sharpen blades. But I have not needed to do this.

I can't imagine paying $3000 for a lawn mower.

You could imagine it if you had very much to mow. I keep a little push mower out in the barn for mowing the dog pen. An electric could probably handle that job. It's probably as much as most city lots but I don't have a gate wide enough to get the real mower in.
