Get it through YOUR head that whenever I vote, I know that the person I vote for will not always vote for all of the bills and measures I'd like him to. I vote for the candidate that, on balance, has a set of priorities that more closely resembles mine. I have never voted for anyone who has approved of banning Mark Twain books, although, I certainly can see where many of them have not aged as gracefully as others. But know this: if I were to vote for the opponent of my representative or senator simply because of how they voted on ONE issue, I would be tacitly approving the agenda of the opponent on not only that issue but all the others that I have been in agreement with my elected officials who I voted for because of the balance of their issues. That is called throwing the baby out with the bathwater. As long as the GOP is the party of the religious right, and as long as they are against any reasonable gun control, and as long as they are against common sense, comprehensive immigration reform, and, AS LONG AS THE OPPOSE A WOMAN'S RIGHT TO AN ABORTION DURING THE FIRST TRIMESTER, AND LATER IF THE LIFE OF THE MOTHER IS AT RISK, I will vote for a DOG before I vote for a Republican.
And I don't understand your fixation with the number 80. I am not 80 years old. I won't be 80 years old until April of 2030.
And why the **** would I want to go to a nursing home? We just moved into this brand-new condo right down the road from my favorite golf course. I come from a long line of men with serious longevity. My grandfather made it to 86 smoking cigars and drinking bourbon all his life. My dad made it to 95 and was still shooting his age at 88. I am in way better shape than either of them EVER was. Hell... I am gonna be around to watch my granddaughter graduate from college!
Now run along sonny and learn basic arithmetic, and, if you're smart, you'll learn some respect for your elders. Single Italian, my ***! lol

I think he should keep his nose out of Maine politics, and so does my daughter.
He throws a lot of money around politics, and I am sure that you don't approve of most of his causes, just like I don't like the Koch brothers all that well.

to be honest, I don't like swirling piles of dark money in politics regardless of what party gets the benefit. I think Citizens United was a terrible decision and has done great harm to our democracy.

I Walk an additional three miles on top of the golf course yardage with my dog every day. Quit smoking decades ago. BP 131/77. My thoughts on LBGTQ folks: it's your skin. find a way to live in it. Not my circus, not my monkeys. And as long as straight white men commit the vast majority of mass shootings in America, I am not gonna get too bent out of shape about some drag queens in a nightclub. I don't approve of anybody's money affecting our political system .....it's what feeds the corruption in DC and our country as a whole and has got much worse over the last 10 years because of idiot billionaires meddling in our political system....

He will declare someone an enemy and hand down his punishment by putting them on ignore... and then almost instantly he starts being all friendly and cordial with like minded members of the person he just "punished" in an attempt to show that person just what they lost by pissing him off and getting put on ignore.
It never lasts though. He'll eventually get all liquored up one night and turn back into his usual hateful self and start berating everyone about how sorry they are by not serving as gallantly and honorably as he did in the service, and how his life is so much better than theirs.
It's a pattern.
