The was an incident somewhere is southern California where a mob of about 40 teenagers (kids by leftist standards) jumped 3 Marines on the beach and beat them up.
The "kids" looked to be at least HS age... probably 16 or older, and the Marines weren't much older... probably early 20's.

and also they had inflicted bodily injury with the fireworks. that will bump up the charges.

Honestly, I don't know **** about southern California, San Clemente pier, or where homosexuals tend to congregate. The last time I was in California, I was appalled by all of the homeless turds littering the streets between West LA and Santa Monica. No, that's not all you can do. Not when you have 3 supposedly well-trained, strong Marine fighters against a bunch of untrained people. Maybe the Marines were drunk or just acting stupid - I don't know which. - Watch the video, there are really only 2 or 3 thugs engaging in a beat-down of one Marine. The rest are standing around screaming. I only saw one Marine engaged in the fight, on the ground. Where were the other two?
- The one Marine was walking away. Someone threw something at him, he turned around and rushed into the crowd. Stupid, amateur move.
- What he should have done was quickly get with the other two and devise a quick, easy strategy for if/when a fight breaks out.
- Next, look for adequate cover.
- Next, look for weapons. Belts, pens, bottles, rocks, etc.

I have. It's a real problem. Like I said, rather pathetic. Three well trained fighters should be able to quickly control a crowd of (unarmed) juveniles rather quickly, without getting hurt. It is extremely rare to come across a juvenile who is actually a good fighter.
