Is it just good PR for these guys to "welcome her with open arms"?
No, not really. Stop basing yer opinions on dead myths and cliches.DeezerShoove » 31 May 2023, 9:28 pm » wrote: ↑ Is it just good PR for these guys to "welcome her with open arms"?
Your everyday average asshole probably has very little chance of the same treatment.
Gotta be high profile so you get used nicely.
Just my opinion... Any merit to it?
So the Russians that are here saying it's horrible over there are all liars?Sumela » 31 May 2023, 9:38 pm » wrote: ↑ No, not really. Stop basing yer opinions on dead myths and cliches.
Russia actually welcomes Westerners and gives away free land
in Siberia for anyone willing to build, ranch and farm. Now thats freedom.
Larger land plots must be purchased but the land is cheap.
Check out the Aussie YT channels of a Christian family who
fled Fascist Australia and have just bought a beautiful farm
in the Altai region...YT channels...Backyard Russia and Siberian Freedom![]()

No doubt about that. We are all subject to that be it good, bad, intentional, or just opinion.Sumela » 01 Jun 2023, 9:08 am » wrote: ↑ I know Russians here who love and miss Russia.
Certainly no country is perfect.
Conversely no country is an evil as we are BRAINWASHED to believe.
I doubt even North Korea as 50% as bad as we are ORDERED to believe.

I try to pare back at least some of the skewed viewpoints. I know it is ALWAYS there.
You have it. I have it.
For instance, you mention the Altai area of Russia as some kind of a free zone of wonderfulness.
Where I was born and raised was warmer, whiter, more crime-free, etc. than that area.
That said, I moved because who wants to be a farmer in an area that's average temperature in the summer isn't even 70˚ ?
A growing season that barely produces a lawn or flowers?
At least my childhood area average temp was slightly better than Siberia.![]()
I only say this because of YEARS of wanting to get the **** out of there as a young adult.
So, looking at each situation is subjective as hell. It's not for everybody.
Like I said, not for everybody.Sumela » 01 Jun 2023, 10:49 am » wrote: ↑ They are an experienced farming from from ***....
Im pretty sure they did the research and found what they
wanted. Theyve been quite determined over the last 2-3 years.

Certainly not for droves of your average Joe.
100 miles north of Minneapolis is way warmer than Altai.Sumela » 01 Jun 2023, 4:09 pm » wrote: ↑ Very few things are for 'everybody'.
Point is that was not very difficult.
And they are only 100 miles from city population size 2 million.
So itd be like having a farm 100 miles from Minneapolis.

By about 10 degrees. Huge difference.
It'd be more like 600 miles north of Minneapolis.
