Is it just good PR for these guys to "welcome her with open arms"?

Your everyday average asshole probably has very little chance of the same treatment.
Gotta be high profile so you get used nicely.

No, not really.  Stop basing yer opinions on dead myths and cliches.

Russia actually welcomes Westerners and gives away free land
in Siberia for anyone willing to build, ranch and farm.  Now thats freedom.

Larger land plots must be purchased but the land is cheap.
Check out the Aussie YT channels of a Christian family who 
fled Fascist Australia and have just bought a beautiful farm
in the Altai region...YT channels...Backyard Russia and Siberian Freedom      

Many white South Africans have done this to flee

I know Russians here who love and miss Russia.
Certainly no country is perfect.  
Conversely no country is an evil as we are BRAINWASHED to believe.
I doubt even North Korea as 50% as bad as we are ORDERED to believe.

I try to pare back at least some of the skewed viewpoints. I know it is ALWAYS there.

For instance, you mention the Altai area of Russia as some kind of a free zone of wonderfulness.
Where I was born and raised was warmer, whiter, more crime-free, etc. than that area.
That said, I moved because who wants to be a farmer in an area that's average temperature in the summer isn't even 70˚ ?
A growing season that barely produces a lawn or flowers?
At least my childhood area average temp was slightly better than Siberia.  

I only say this because of YEARS of wanting to get the **** out of there as a young adult.
So, looking at each situation is subjective as hell. It's not for everybody.

Im pretty sure they did the research and found what they
wanted.  Theyve been quite determined over the last 2-3 years.

So itd be like having a farm 100 miles from Minneapolis.
