Planet Fitness has banned Fox News, while keeping CNN, CNBC, and MSNBC as well as several other news networks.  But, in the past month, it has removed Fox because its management does not agree with the fall-out from the stories Fox covers.

Clearly, this is another Leftist attempt to silence normal, moderate and conservative Americans, and pander to Leftists.

Now, I do have a membership at Planet Fitness.  Should I keep it or ditch it?  And, if I ditch my Planet Fitness membership, how do y'all think I should go about doing it?

Before you quit, **** the place up.
Feces grafitti and bent stuff is always a hoot. Treat the place like a biker bar.
Those dividers between urinals are always loose and missing screws. **** like that.
You're going for a third world look so it matches the BLM-run neighborhoods.

Black heel marks shoulder high are accidental...  Use your imagination. Let us know.
Pics are always funny. How did half of an old shoe get in the light fixture?
Please seat yourself.

I had a PF membership years ago and it was a PITA to cancel.

Not sure how they have it now, but at the time an auto draft from your checking account was the only way they would let you join, and canceling had to be done in writing with a form that you printed off their website and mailed to them.

I eventually had to send my cancelation request via certified letter because they kept claiming they never received the first two I sent. Even after they said my membership had been successfully canceled they kept popping my checking account for $10 a month.

I ended up having to close the checking account that it was tied to and open a new one to get them to stop, at which point they sent me a letter saying that I owed them money for membership fees because the account was no longer accessible... even though the membership had been canceled months before.

They sent me a past due notice with $10 added to the balance every month for about six months until I eventually mailed them a copy of my cancellation letter in the payment envelope to shut them up.

Planet Fitness sucks.

They do suck.  And, they cater to the queers.  But, it's cheap, and I travel a lot so I need access to gyms in multiple areas.  I've been hating this gym for years now, but removing Fox news might be the final straw.  Will have to find an acceptable replacement, however.

Isn't planet fitness the place where snowflakes go to play with dumbbells without the intimidation of buff men?

Isn't it the same place that has this alarm that goes off if you grunt too loud?

If I'm not mistaking, I remember reading stories about them denying membership to people who are too muscular and intimidating looking.  :die:

I'd rather weigh 600lb than be caught dead working out in a place like that.

The only reason I joined years ago was that I had just gotten divorced and figured it was a good place to meet chicks.

That's what they advertise.

Yep, that's the place.

No, I don't recall that.  But, they did get rid of their free-weight benches and barbells because "that wasn't the crowd they were catering to".

I go there for the weights and the machines.  Not for any social hour.  Its what I have to choose from in the locations I happen to frequent.  I am looking for a better alternative.

I find it strange to go to the gym and watch political commentary. The gym that I used to go to had 5 TV on the south facing side and 7 on the north facing side. The five southside facing TV's were always on FOX NEWS. Did I complain? No.. It just gave me a reason to concoct an interesting playlist.

I'm pretty sick of their "Pride" support, and other "woke" attitudes that are apparent.  Is Gold's Gym still around?

If you decide to cancel, let me know how it goes.

I'm kinda curious to see if they are still playing their **** games after 20 years.

That's about $120 more than Planet Fitness.  Not too bad.  I'll have to see where there are still Golds Gyms.

Mine has a pool, saunas, and racket ball.
I think possibly the gyms that simply have cardio, free weights, and lifting machines are cheaper

I think this is because so much of Fox "News" is bad political commentary, and Planet Fitnss was having trouble with members fighting over crap aired by Fox "News".
Do what every you wish. Like anyone cares.

Take a shortwave radio and play the Hal Turner radio show, people are going to need their own fallout shelters with exercise equipment, etc.
