When I served in MDW (Military District of Washington) as a Army land transportation operator (a driver) I came in contact with a lot of officers and they all acted like educated leaders of troops...none of them behaved like a child. Which is typical for Mainvain.
Maybe he got hit in the head with a anchor or something and that would explain his behavior. They probably put him in charge of a phone that never rang until they could get rid of him.

mainvain...be proactive in trying to solve your problems. First identify problems in your life and then start taking actions to solve your problems, one step at a time
Set your own expectations. Negative ruminating thoughts can creep in when we question our self-worth. Praise yourself for your successes and forgive yourself for your mistakes. Constantly work on building your self-esteem by taking care of yourself and doing things you enjoy and excel at.
Create a support system. Having friends and family members, and maybe even a therapist, any of whom you can call on for help when something goes wrong or when you’re having a bad day, is so important. These special people may distract you from your ruminating thoughts and are also likely to boost your self-esteem.

There is no white history, retard - any more than there is some monolithic black history. There are hundreds of histories of very disparate peoples who only quite recently began to be lumped together as "white."
