not exactly on topic but was in San Francisco two weekends ago. Did not see nearly as many gays/lesbians as one would expect. Could just be random chance or bad timing. however, we walked all over chinatown, fishermen's wharf, and the area east of that. did see quite a few asians (and not just in chinatown). Probably 1 of 3 people we saw on the street were Asian.
