Humor depends on many factors.
People who are dogmatic are not normally very funny.

George Carlin was one of the funniest guys around, and he sure as hell was neither dogmatic nor a conservative.
Woody Allen is also neither dogmatic nor conservative, and he also is a different kind of funny.
Mark Twain was very funny, and he could not stand either Theodore Roosevelt or William H. Jennings Brian, neither of who were funny.
The humor of all three of these men was that they recognized contradictions between what people believed and what they said and did.
I have not heard Elon Musk all that much, but what he said about unfunny people was not funny at all.
Perhaps Musk is a visionary. But a comedian he is not, so far as I can tell from these remarks

He was just bitchy.
Pointing out stuff was the majority of his act.
If you're part of his fan club, you think it's funny.
If you already think people with stickers on their bumpers celebrating their kid's averageness are total idiots, there's not much of a joke in pointing that out.

He had a lot of "jokes" like that. His longevity was his draw.
Didn't do much for me.
