because it was a bogus case. If there had been any evidence of a Batson Rule violation, the trial judge, or the appeals court judge, or the Maine Supreme Court or the Federal District Court of Appeals, or SCOTUS would have said so. It was on the docket and on the agenda for the Judicial Review conference a full month after the inclusion on the docket. At that meeting, they decided the case had no merit. Again... you cannot deny the FACT that the trial judge, the appeals court judge, the Maine State Supreme Court, and the Federal Appeals Court ALL agreed that there was no Batson Rule violation, and, after their month-long review, and after their judicial conference, SCOTUS declined to reverse those rulings of ALL those previous courts.golfboy » 22 Jun 2023, 10:23 pm » wrote: ↑ SCOTUS never considered the case. ...except that the simple fact remains that, under US Code, some subsections of some laws describe crimes that require intent as an element of that crime and some don't. Comey did not consider Hillary to have committed crimes under the same subsection as Smith did for Trump. So there is no double standard or two tiers of justice... just different prosecutors considering charges for two distinctly different actions under two distinctly different statutes.
