I believe the American way of life has been subverted. I applaud and support the notion of equality for all but recognize this is called the American dream for a reason. You have to be asleep to believe it. Public schools have changed focus from education to cultural indoctrination into the latest whims of progressive academia. This started with the noble intention of reducing racism and racial tension. Contined as a gut reaction to our foreign misadventures in Vietnam. It has grown into a cancer that has reduced the objective quality of American high school graduates, those who manage to graduate, from the top 3 in the developed world exiting wwii to #27. Something has to change. Not sure charter schools are the solution but they could play a role. Increasing focus on trade skills for those not planning on pursuing college degrees should also be a priority. College degrees outside of STEM are largely pointless.

The answer is simple, but Democrat politicians will NEVER give up their contributions from the teacher's union!

The Federal Dept. of Education should be shut down and PARENTS should be given a voucher for the sum of money we're now paying to educate each kid, and the PARENTS can decide which school to send their kids to!  The bad ones will close, and private enterprise will open THOUSANDS of new schools that will be graded on how well the students attending do!  A parent who wants their child indoctrinated into the LGBTQ lifestyle should be able to send their kid there, and those who WON'T tolerate such **** will make sure that stupidity will NOT be taught in the school they choose!

Or is 'freedom of choice' only a concern for Democrats when murdering an infant?

An astounding number of kids today are functioning illiterates.
I saw the trend decades ago with those submitting job applications at my company, an it's obviously gotten far worse!

Saddest of all is that these kids don't even know how dumb they are, and can't understand why they've been rejected for any job better than McDonald's.

there is a metric system also. it works in tenths not 12ths easier to conver to a decimal system of dividing everything part of the whole to fractional interpretations wishing the whole never existed in plain sight.

I do know what the size  is. Like a  1mm- 8mm-  cm- meter... very basics. after that i am lost.

She bought me a set of 1963 World Books I still own and still use, just to see how much sixty years has dated them.

Each year she’d buy a copy of the World Almanac and Book of Facts.  I still do.

Ignorance is voluntary.  It is a bad choice.

The phone in your hands has more accurate, factual information available than our regional library did.

If you search for garbage to confirm what you already know, you are fair game for every right wing con man out to pick your pocket.

Justification denial is a greater good. Rather stay alive pretending real isn't real than get nailed to a cross debunking every social narrative around. That was 101 generation gaps ago.

There's no question that these kids have never received a single lesson on how to apply for a job, show up for an interview, or fill out an application.

And while Chinese and Russian kids are learning quantum physics and calculus, our kids are being indoctrinated to believe they can be any sex the choose to be and sitting through drag-queen story-time.
