Not many, but a few of my Republican friends watched the entire George Floyd tape.

Remember, there were four armed policemen against one middle aged man accused of passing a fake twenty dollar bill.

He begged for his life, flat on the street, for several minutes and urinated himself.  The puddle ran down the street.

Not a one of my Republican friends would be such cold blooded killers.  I’d bet most, would try and stop it if they were present when it happened.

To be MAGA, it is required you suspend every trace of every thing your parents, teachers and preachers tried to teach you as a child.

And when a George Floyd situation arises, say what about this, and what about that.

If they truly believed Christ was watching us, how do they take such a chance of eternal damnation?

What amazes me is that it’s such a predictable, obvious fraud and insult to the intelligence of any decently raised person, why can’t the Fox viewer see how those gorgeous girls and slick taking men are not only picking their pockets, they are destroying conservatism as we knew it.

Fox will have to eventually report this story.

And they will find a way to defend torture, mayhem and terror just because they always defend the police, and always condemn black victims.  No exceptions.

this story is retarded. you expect us to believe this? nobody called the police for any reason...they just randomly wandered into the home of an elderly white woman and saw 2 black men what...giving her a pedicure (too difficult a task for jsut one black man) and mistook it for drug dealing?

The men were at home.  I’m not saying they weren’t drug dealers, only that four cops turned off bodycams and entered their home to try and get them to show where the drugs were.

First problem was, these two guys are taking care of (likely exploiting) an old white lady.

For whatever reason, maybe he squirmed, one cop has a gun in the mouth of one man and it goes off—-

But he’s still alive.

Now, to hush this up, requires three cold blooded murders, and in Mississippi they would get the needle if caught.

So they leave.

The press sat on this story until yesterday, investigators confirmed the men’s story and fired all four.  They no doubt recovered the bullet, and matched it up.

This will be the wildest police brutality case in recent memory.  

But only a morally bankrupt person could justify torture, terror, and sexual assault.

All these cops are going down the river, how long is the question. Only one pulled the trigger.

The editors of all the mainstream papers know millions of  Republicans do not care, and only regret the cops didn’t kill the guy.

So do the editors of Fox.

This is all part of the culture wars.

It will make the right look like goons, and the left appear more virtuous.

What saddens me is when I was a young man, Republicans at least attempted to remain on the side of the angels.

Today they’ll cheer Putin invading Ukraine.

The measure of civilization of any society is how they treat prisoners.

I learned that years ago, when I was a Reagan Republican.

Mississippi is one of the poorest, reddest, most backward and uneducated states in the Union.

They didn’t disband the Mississippi Sovereignty Commission until 1980.  The last Dixiecrat in office was from there (he switched over to the GOP).  Mississippi only removed the Confederate battle flag from their state flag three years ago.  

But Mississippi has school children:

All 31,000 of those school teachers are college graduates and they know racism and lynching and torturing prisoners is horribly wrong, and they won’t teach the kids otherwise.

 If the GOP somehow, in some way, doesn’t shed the people that support racism, lynching and torture those kids won’t vote Republican.

Floyd was a doped-up, black criminal who was committing a crime.
He was arrested & he 'resisted arrest'.......another crime.

the british empire was the greatest empire in human history. And you would probably not be happy with how nice they were to prisoners.

now that they seem obsessed with the idea of being nice to their enemies, they are dying. it is a remarkably pathetic way to die, and it is hard to feel any sympathy for people who allow themselves to be this weak.

Great Britain is not in danger, of winding up like Russia, where last week an armored column of rebels made it to within a hundred miles of the Capitol.

And even our ex Presidents are subject to the rule of law

Would you approve of the accused Donald Trump being so treated, while in custody?

Or the 1/6/21 defendants?

Not one of them will be tortured, or assaulted, by their legal custodians.

We executed some of the worst actors of the Third Reich and the Japanese Empire but did not torture or abuse a single one.

The eventual end of MAGA will come because all of it, every bit of it, is against the all the values and morals of what Winston Churchill called Christian Civilization.

The main reason I swore off the Republican Party twenty years ago was Dick Cheney claiming water torture wasn’t water torture.

And for the first time in all his life, Donald Trump risks the penalty of the criminal law, the exact same as the rest of us would if we’d acted like he did.  It is a breathless tribute to our rule of law.

The next President to lose an election is going to go home, and turn over their papers to the archives, like all the others did except Trump.
 
I do hope Biden commutes any jail sentence Trump may get.
