I have a large rooftop swamp cooler. It cools the whole house, as long as we have dry heat, which is normal for the dry summers here. They don't cost much to operate.sootedupCyndi » 30 Jun 2023, 5:19 pm » wrote: ↑ oh- they ain't caught onto me yet. i still have house insurance?

property taxes should only be used for improving property. not for the politicians slush fund. yes! taxes should be 'user sensitive'. and. sell all government roads to private companies. yes! toll roads. then see the workers move close to their jobs. reducing the need for cars and all the car expenses. let them walk to work. provide park liker trails. lots of flowers.sootedupCyndi » 30 Jun 2023, 1:15 pm » wrote: ↑ What for? all looks about the same.
the only thing that is more is my property value. ( house and land)
They added 50k more to the value. No improvements have been made.
WHO DECIDED THAT???????
There has been no improvements. Or changes.
no tax accessor came here and looked.
INFLATION? in the real estate market.
WHAT?
Anyone know?

Normally it goes up like 100 bucks. Nothing serious..
In the last year of his Presidency Donald Trump approved the largest government spending programs by any measurement, including World War Two, in American history.sootedupCyndi » 01 Jul 2023, 5:54 am » wrote: ↑ I'm looking at my two tax bills. Last years and this years.

It seems pretty obvious to me that those "sanctuary states" who are taking in MILLIONS of illegals MUST increase their property taxes to cover the free healthcare, free education, free smartphones, free food, free transportation, and free housing that this liberal asshole has given out like penny candy on Christmas!sootedupCyndi » 30 Jun 2023, 12:57 pm » wrote: ↑ I just got my property tax bill. thanks Biden- keep voting for these clown liberals...

Remember all that free government money?
—-
President Donald Trump signed the massive $2.3 trillion coronavirus relief and government funding bill into law Sunday night, averting a government shutdown that was set to begin on Tuesday, and extending billions of dollars in coronavirus aid to millions.
—
In his first full year in office Joe Biden reduced the budget deficit by one half, from 2.8 trillion to 1.4 trillion, but he could only do that because Covid had ended.
But Trump’s unprecedented, WW2 sized spending put enough money in people’s pockets they could buy houses, like yours.
Your home went up in value because of millions more people with money to buy it.
And BIDENFLATION has FORCED the payouts for ALL ITEMS purchased by Cities, Counties, etc. to SKYROCKET, hence the TAX RATE INCREASES ****!! DO you think schools are serving lunches where the PRICE FOR FOOD remained the same as it was in 1973??Bruce » 30 Jun 2023, 3:00 pm » wrote: ↑ Property taxes are set by local governments.
The money goes to local school, police, fire, roads and bridges.
It does have a lot to do with Trump spending an all time record of an additional six trillion dollars, virtually all in one year, to avoid a major recession.sootedupCyndi » 01 Jul 2023, 10:18 am » wrote: ↑ This has nothing to do with TRUMP ya nitwit. gees-us.

You are DUMBER than a freight train full of rocks.
Each county has an assessor, required to adjust assessments to changing market conditions.sootedupCyndi » 01 Jul 2023, 10:43 am » wrote: ↑ It is connected to the school budget.
but i'm wondering who just decided to tack on more house value.
I doubt If i sold it- i'd get no more then last year. for example.
This isn't Florida where there is a high demand for homes.
oh no. i couldn't move all the junk in this place! better off staying put. HABruce » 01 Jul 2023, 10:47 am » wrote: ↑ Each county has an assessor, required to adjust assessments to changing market conditions.
If you complain they’ll show you a lot of comparable sales in the last year they used.
One man’s junk is another man’s treasure.
Don’t list your home for sale if you aren’t prepared to move.
And no small county ever spends one dime extra on public schools, these days.
Look at all the new police cars and armored cars and other toys your local police have. They spend more on police, because the public seems to like it.
Our county bought a huge police speedboat and there’s not one place in the county to operate it.
They can assist other counties now, you see.
Our plan is to die, and let our kids move our junk.sootedupCyndi » 01 Jul 2023, 11:11 am » wrote: ↑ oh no. i couldn't move all the junk in this place! better off staying put. HA

We have central air, but our bedroom is in the top of a century old house, and last year the extra window unit air conditioner went out.
The old one cost, I forget, six hundred some dollars and was 12,000 btu, and it lasted 15 years. I wanted to fix it, and she said you’ll get a new one.
Geezus, have they improved window until air conditioners. A new one was $400 and 8,000 BTU (same size slot) and twice as cold, and quiet as a ghost.
Last night it made an occasional popping noise and it’s not as cold as it was, but isn’t blowing hot air, just not ice cold air.
I figured it needs the coils cleaned.
I have a new one instead in the back of our Suburban, this one 8100 BTU and $369.
Want a deal on a slightly used A/C unit?
(I paid extra for the service contract, this year)

I have two of everything. Problem i have. Everything is getting old at the same time. My frig looks brand new. Howling. The fan. dig dig- found the receipt. OMG its ten years old. It's life is about over. Time flys.
Same way with the mower. That shat the bed last year. smokin like crazy- burning thru plugs..
we always did good up keep on it... life's over. Bought a new one. Still mad at the price of that. It looks like a giant bumble bee in the back yard.
