No, ideally we’d all go to Harvard, and ideally we’d all drive a Rolls Royce.
Moral hazard is created when somebody, government or parents, picks up the tab.
The idea behind student loans was, each generation finances the next.
And what you clearly don't understand is the meaning of the word, "LOAN"!
Paying a debt you agreed to IS NOT what you consider a "moral hazard"! That may very well be the most stupid opinion in history!
Otherwise, it's called a GIFT that is generally given willingly BY THE PERSON OR PEOPLE PAYING FOR IT!
And when you claim it's only "government" picking up the tab, you're attempting to ignore the fact that it's THE TAXPAYERS BEING FORCED TO PAY FOR A GIFT! The government HAS NO MONEY except what it can take from the taxpayers, and the power of that spending is Constitutionally restricted to the House of Representatives in Congress, NOT THE PRESIDENT!
So, how long have you preferred that we ignore the Constitution in order to cover the debt of deadbeats?
NO ONE has a problem with the "idea behind" student loans EXCEPT FOR YOU, PREFERRING TO CHANGE THAT IDEA!
And you're too blind to comprehend that!
