2006 CHICAGO. Dec. 16 -- Antoin "Tony" Rezko is a political insider, an energetic Chicago dealmaker and campaign fundraiser often in the headlines for being on the wrong side of good government. Indicted in October on influence-peddling charges, he also has a habit of befriending prospective political stars. One of them was Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.), who was offered a job by Rezko in the early 1990s while a top student at Harvard Law School. Obama did not take it, but over the years, the two men stayed in touch, and Rezko backed Obama's successful 2004 U.S. Senate campaign, raising money and contributing his own.In June 2005, in what Obama now describes as a "boneheaded" mistake, Obama and Rezko's wife bought adjacent properties on Chicago's South Side, closing the deals on the same day. Seven months later, wanting a bigger yard for his $1.65 million house, Obama bought a slice of the Rezko property for $104,500. There have been no allegations that Obama, whose political fortunes are soaring as he mulls a run for president, broke the law or committed any ethics violations. He said he has done no government business with Rezko, who is facing charges in two unrelated criminal cases. But leaders of Chicago watchdog organizations describe Obama's behavior as a surprising error in judgment, particularly for a politician noted for his tactical skills, his ambition and his support of state and federal ethics legislation."It's disappointing because there has been speculation about Tony Rezko, and whether he was crossing ethical lines, for a number of years," said Cynthia Canary, director of the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.——

Harry S Truman threatened to kick a critic in the balls that made a bad review of his daughter’s singing.
And Obama bought Michele a bigger yard, for his children to play.
Much like Lincoln, Obama had a penchant for using the powers granted him to protect and save the least of us, and he did those acts without fanfare.
This guy drinks the blue Kool-Aid like no other. The Obamas started the destruction of this country. That 2012-2016 run was **** horrible times. Everything you see today blossomed from that ****. Another famous case of Obama’s kindness was that when right wing media traced his aunt down (he didn’t realize was in the country) no expense was spared hiring her the finest immigration lawyers and she died in America, her persecutors be damned:SouthernFried » 30 Jun 2023, 7:11 pm » wrote: ↑ This guy drinks the blue Kool-Aid like no other. : Is dental school as hard as medical school to get into?
Is becoming a dentist harder than becoming a doctor?
Both include a mix of classroom learning and hands-on training. However, the curriculum for medicine is generally more intense, with more hours spent in the classroom and clinical rotations. In contrast, dental students often have more flexible schedules and less time in class.

My favorite was in the early part of his Presidency, Michelle visited a grade school and a third grade Hispanic student told her
My mom has no papers
https://youtu.be/OXUbAWnFCQY
Fox News had picked up that exchange and by the time Michele returned crying to the White House there was a hue and cry raised for Obama to deport the mother.
According to legend, Obama called his ICE director (who was also catching hell to deport her) and asked
How many undocumented immigrants do we estimate are here in this country?
11 million, Mr President
Good. I’m ordering you to discover who that little girl’s mother is, and after, you’ve deported all 11 million of the others like her first, bring me orders to deport her, and I’ll consider it then, and only then. Until then, she stays.
What does any of that have to do with what I said? So… what you are basically saying is that the DC swamp enjoyed kissing Obama ***. Wow… big whoop man… because that does a lot for the working man out there, doesn’t it?Bruce » 30 Jun 2023, 7:36 pm » wrote: ↑ Another famous case of Obama’s kindness was that when right wing media traced his aunt down (he didn’t realize was in the country) no expense was spared hiring her the finest immigration lawyers and she died in America, her persecutors be damned:

She died in a Boston rehabilitation center, said Wong, who represented her in her immigration case

Obama also tried quitting cigarettes by chewing Nicorette gum.
But all of his aides and staff loved him so much they’d buy cigarettes to give him, even if they were non smokers, when Michelle wasn’t around.
Part of his charisma might have been the vile, low down, slimy and base level of his enemies, who doubted his very birth in Hawaii.
But White House insiders claimed only Ronald Reagan, endeared such loyalty and devotion as Obama enjoyed from his aides and staff.
Yep, he got a $70 million dollar advance to write a book from a publisher he had previously granted $350 million dollars to for publishing school books thru the Dept of Education.Bruce » 30 Jun 2023, 6:40 pm » wrote: ↑ In his entire life there is only one, single recorded instance of where Barack Obama did anything even remotely ethically questionable.

This is false. Rezko was a notorious "fixer." A fixer is someone who gets favors FROM politicians in return for favors TO politicians. Rezko was Obama's long time political patron. He was one of the reasons a mere senator could bid 1.65 MILLION DOLLARS for a house.Bruce » 30 Jun 2023, 6:40 pm » wrote: ↑ In his entire life there is only one, single recorded instance of where Barack Obama did anything even remotely ethically questionable.
