The day that happened, I remember being 17 and watching the fall of Saigon in April 1975 on television when my mother came home, and started cheering.

I said Mama, America has just lost the only war we’ve ever lost, why are you cheering?

She said because we’ll not ever send another young boy like you over to the other side of the world to fight somebody else’s battles for a many a year to come.

We should have stayed home, in the first place.

As for Joe quitting in Afghanistan,,,,,

Who wants to be the first one to go back?

Myself, I believe the only reason they won is because it wasn't really a war; it was a military equipment disposal/test so they could build bigger and better.......and what's a few human lives to feed the Military Industrial Complex!

In a realpolitik sense there is no reason the usa should need to have conflict with Iran. Certainly it does nothing for the American people. Indeed...good relations with Iran would reduce gas prices. So why do we want war with Iran?
