It way too early to tell, but we've got a handful of new, young governors who can make names for themselves and they are a total scattershot of blue demographics: Newsom, Wittmer, Shapiro, Moore.  Plus Senator Warnock.  I anticipate an energized primary season which should serve to motivate and activate the party's base.  And if the winner IS a moderate, effective governor, I think that brings a lot of independents under the tent as well

I simply take issue with your dismissive pejorative nickname for her.  She has every right to put her qualifications before the primary voters.  I contributed to her 2020 campaign.  I like Kamala Harris.  I like Venn diagrams. I am certain she would make a wonderful president.  

I believe that this just might be one of those generational shift moments à la 1992 when we chose a Vietnam draft dodger over a WWII combat pilot damned near old enough to be his dad.  2028 might be the election when we jump down to a younger group of leaders who are not mired in the failed paradigm of endless political backstabbing and win/lose outcomes and who might opt for an inclusive, compromise-heavy win-win environment that takes the venom back out of politics.  We were a better country when it wasn't there.

It’s going to be difficult to move forward as a country until there is proper contrition for the attempted coup against Trump. Without a proper self examination, the cycle will continue and things will likely get worse.
