Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez calls for Congress to limit the power of the Supreme Court (msn.com)

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stated that Congress should use a variety of methods to limit the power of the Supreme Court.In an appearance on CNN on Sunday, the New York Democrat argued that the Supreme Court was compromising its own legitimacy and that she believes Congress must act to limit its power.
"I truly do," Ocasio-Cortez answered when asked if she believes the power of the Supreme Court justices should be limited. "And this is not a new — this is not a new development in history. This is part of our system of checks and balances. The courts, if they were to proceed without any check on their power, without any balance on their power, it would be a dangerous, authoritarian expansion of power in the Supreme Court."
The New York Democrat then said that Congress should use every tool at its disposal against the Supreme Court, including investigations, subpoenas, and impeachments."We have a broad level of tools to deal with misconduct, overreach, and abuse of power, and the Supreme Court has not been receiving the adequate oversight necessary in order to preserve their own legitimacy," Ocasio-Cortez said. "And in the process, they themselves have been destroying the legitimacy of the court, which is profoundly dangerous for our entire democracy. We will bury them."

Dimocrats when they receive a un-favorable decision: "The ultra MAGA, white supremacist Supreme Court is illegitimate and needs to be dismantled

That court is the only thing keeping this country from its immediate collapse.

A sign just cropped up on a store in Portland, Maine... and I guess it has been replicated in a lot of other places around the country... I am not sure where it started, but it says, "Since the Supreme Court has ruled that businesses can discriminate... NO SALES TO TRUMP SUPPORTERS!

Portland is a pretty BLUE town, and, my daughter reports that business today is BOOMING there at that shop!

That is a totally factual statement. Congress has a lot of constitutional tools at its disposal to shine a harsh light on SCOTUS. If they can't stand the heat...

Maine has always been awake.  We're just naturally taciturn.

I first moved to Maine while on active duty in 1982.  I quickly made friends with a neighbor, a high school teacher who was born and raised in Maine and came from a long line of Mainers.

After I had been here for about six months, I told him that actual Mainers were so much friendlier and inviting than the "can't get theyuh from heyuh" impression the rest of the country had of them.  I told him I wanted to write a book and let everyone know how great Mainers were.  His response was, "Don't you DAYUH, then all you flatlanders will come storming up heyuh and ruin it for the rest of us!"

I can’t ever look at AOC without remembering Reggie and his MG. I had a car, but not an MG convertible, and Reggie was a Kansas City native, and knew all the places to go find adventure.

One evening Reggie decided I needed to see the Argentine district. He cautioned me everybody in there would be brown, and would be carrying a knife, and to mind my manners.

One of the talents I gained growing up was learning to play eight ball first, then graduating on to playing snooker. That little bar in the Argentine only had a quarter eight ball table, and I was the only snooker grade pool shot in the bar, so I played eight ball as long as I wanted.

A young Latin boy about my age, came up and asked if he and his gorgeously dark eyed, raven black haired girlfriend with legs that reached all the way to the floor could play pool and I gave up the table and sat and nursed a beer and watched her lean over the table while she played pool.

She never once looked back, but as she left with her friend, she scribbled a note to an old, half drunk man who seemed to know her well.

The old man approached me, like he was half afraid I’d hurt him. He handed me her note

I showed the note to Reggie as proof nobody should ever leave home without a hundred dollar Stetson

Reggie replied I was a stupid red neck wearing a fancy cowboy hat and fancy boots and it was time for us to leave the **** bar before I got him killed.

Before I left the old man gave me directions to Miguel’s and he assured me the girl was from a good family, who lived down the street.

Reggie was a good friend, good enough to find and hide my car keys and organize my other friends from letting me go to the Argentine the next night at 7.

But as the clock passed the hour, I wondered if she was waiting alone at Miquel’s
