and then compare it to the percentage of the white population which are in the poor class....
it's pretty much the same.
same with the middle class ....

the economic inequity springs from the upper class where the overwhelming portion is white and they take care of their own kind to a much greater extent than they do the other.

What is the flip side of Affirmative Action in college admissions?  Legacy admissions

And my guess is that the folks whining about Affirmative Action turned a blind(not colorblind, just blind) eye to the practice of Legacy Admissions where the less qualified progeny of wealthy alumni get seats that could have gone to more qualified, albeit poorer, students of any color.

 13.6% of the population  is African American in this country and there are approximately 1.175 million African American millionaires which does not include multi-millionaires or billionaires.
and of course considering that 60% of the population is White... the Upper class has more whites ....and makes up 75% of all millionaires in the U.S. not including multi-millionaires or billionaires.
You falsley claim inequity is due to whites taking care of their own .....when quite plainly the inequity is due to a much higher population of whites than African Americans .....
And trying to use the upper class to try and highlight inequity is not a good indicator anyways because those 1.75 million black millionaires can also be shown to take care of their own kind to a much greater extent in their businesses ......

I was a Republican and in college when the Bakke decision came down that forbid outright quotas to achieve racial diversity.

For well over forty years, two or three generations of college admissions officers have had the liberty, of giving some poor, deserving black kid a slot.

Now, the dirty low down, privileged sonsabitches have changed the settled rules.

They have also changed the rules on abortion, on “religious” liberty to hate gays in the name of Jesus, and while the government can spend about six trillion towards corporate America during Covid, it’s unconstitutional to knock ten or twenty thousand off some kid’s student loan.

All my life, I’ve read about FDR’s court packing plan in 1937, and now I understand why,


I still think it’s a mistake.

But whenever you hear MAGA cry wolf every day, what happens if the Dems get the power to actually, bring the Supreme Court back to liberal control?
