All fun and games until Russia puts nukes in Cuba. Didn't we already play this game? Didn't we promise nato wouldn't expand one inch eastward in exchange for dropping the iron curtain? Seems like a small ask to secure the freedom of millions.

Our mic lost earning opportunities in Afghanistan and Iraq so there was no interest in reasonable diplomacy when it came to Ukraine.
