I'd need a IWB holster.

That was my carry piece (LC9) before I traded it for a Diamondback DB9. The LC9 is less finicky than the DB9, but it is not quite as small. It is easier for me to carry the DB9 than it was for me to carry the LC9. The LC9 is a great little gun, especially for the money.Beekeeper » 05 Jul 2023, 5:10 am » wrote: ↑ Best easy to conceal piece you can get IMHO!!

KeL Tec makes ugly guns that work well. In fact, that should be their tag line. I notice that people who actually carry a gun, tend to have smaller guns that are not beauty queens. The wear and tear of every day carry on gun that cost $300 - $350 is not "depression on your investment", it is bragging rights.RedheadedStranger » 05 Jul 2023, 6:47 am » wrote: ↑ This one always goes in the right front pocket, every time I leave the house...
... and is sometimes accompanied by this one in my back pocket...
Before you Kel Tec haters jump my case I will tell you that my .380 has never jammed once when fired from clean. If it gets a little dirty at the range, then yeah, the dependability kind of wanes... but clean and lightly oiled, it runs like a champ.
Mine fits nicely in my pocket in its little case/cover. And it's come in handy a couple of times to deter a few idiots that thought they were tougher than a rabid pit bull. Amazing how that little fella kinda takes the puff out of their chests.Skans » 05 Jul 2023, 7:56 am » wrote: ↑ That was my carry piece (LC9) before I traded it for a Diamondback DB9. Well said. Nothing fancy here for sure... and that even goes for the holster. I use a simple Uncle Mike's cloth sleeve with a pocket clip, and usually have to buy a new one every other year or so when the metal starts poking through or the clip breaks.Skans » 05 Jul 2023, 8:00 am » wrote: ↑ KeL Tec makes ugly guns that work well. My Diamondback DB9 isn't going to win any beauty prizes either. I've got it loaded the way I want it for self defense. That's all it needs to do. The big thing for me is that I can pocket carry it and grab it in an "upright position" if/when I need it.RedheadedStranger » 05 Jul 2023, 9:24 am » wrote: ↑ Well said. They are only $15 or so and I usually have more than a couple floating around the safe.
The Diamondbacks are pretty nifty, and small. I was torn between getting the Ruger LCP 9mm like @Beekeeper has and the LCR I ended up getting instead. It was just a matter of dominant 7/9mm or 5/.38+p... and the .38+p won out.Skans » 05 Jul 2023, 10:31 am » wrote: ↑ My Diamondback DB9 isn't going to win any beauty prizes either. I will say this about the DB9 - I have to load it with different ammo:RedheadedStranger » 05 Jul 2023, 12:08 pm » wrote: ↑ The Diamondbacks are pretty nifty, and small. The Kel Tec P3AT was my pocket pistol forever and a day before I got the Ruger. The one I have is a 2nd Gen I believe. There ain't **** to them, but they work. I think I paid $200 for the thing brand new about 20 years ago. Believe it or not, it's fairly accurate out to about 5 yards.
