I looked and looked for thirty years for the most practical old time semi auto and finally found one.
I own a Joe Biden approved, 50 state legal, John Browning designed, 35 Remington Model 81 made in 1937, as new.
With a pocket full of five round stripper clips, it’s an an awesomely powerful and intensely cool rifle.
Frank Hamer used a Model 8 to ambush Bonnie and Clyde.
Those old guns aren’t the problem.
Even though in theory you can still buy 35 Remington you’d better buy 200 cases and load your own ammo for it. A 351 Winchester Self Loader would be much more trouble to keep running.
Every gun shop bursting with black guns as cheap as $300 is the problem.
And do they really need to sell ballistic vests to trannies?

Every gun ever made is a collection of individual parts, but in a thousand years, nobody will ever design a better and simpler device for shooting a .223/5.56 NATO.
The cost of making one on in large scale production is next to nothing. I couldn’t see where any part, had been touched by a human hand.
And although I don’t own one, I’ve seen Glocks stripped down the same way.
Those are highly efficient, incredibly cheap killing machines.
99% and more of them are used as toys for big boys.
And then about twice a day somebody uses them for their designed purpose of killing not just one, but a lot of people.
The ar rifles in use by those I know are not inexpensive. They cost more than any rifle I ever owned.
The only military style firearms I ever had any interest in owning was the colt 1911 and an M1. I never got around to getting the M1. There again it was always more expensive than other rifles that were better suited to the shooting I did.

The Colt Model 1911 is probably the most iconic Handgun design in history..... Remarkable how much on it remains close to the original.. My Dad found a way to keep the one he carried in Korea in 51-52... I got to fire it several times at the range as a teen up in CT... I also got to shoot Grandpa's Scatter Gun, which he carried as a Union organizer --- it was a shortened double barrel 10 gauge...

Why is this political?
According to recent polling, if Joe Biden can take Pennsylvania he will be re-elected President.
He will not need Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia, which are the only states still not called in the polling.
Gun safety, gun control, whatever name the issue is called, might decide the next election.

Kimbrady Carriker, a Black Trump supporter,was obsessed with the 2nd Amendment and the idea that Biden was going to take guns away from the people. On his Facebook page he posted numerous references to this including a F*ck Brandon post and one of Biden dressed as a redcoat.

Just how ignorant and stupid would a black trans man be in order to be MAGA?
In downtown Philadelphia there are gun shops in areas where there is razor wire on every building selling AR-15s and Glocks to anybody and everybody with a clean record and $500.
At least MAGA doesn’t claim urban ghettos are gun free zones.

With factory made military style weapons and high capacity pistols you and I could not buy years ago because they weren’t for sale.
I doubt any of those black kids couldn’t buy, or have someone buy for them, a Tech Nine in thirty minutes for $300.

Citizens could purchase FN-FAL in the early 70's. M-14s have been for sale forever. HK Model 90 for decades. 2nd amendment.

My 1981 Remington BDL Deluxe 30-06 was the first new, really nice thing I ever bought.
It was $250, plus tax. I paid $150 cash and $10 a month on my JC Penny’s card.
I still have the paperwork somewhere.
People shooter type guns were not a problem until they got cheap.

If God were to grant me the power I’d bring that back.
But although every house I ever saw in my entire life, until I graduated, had a gun or two, none had three, none had handguns, and I never saw a gun safe until I was an adult. Old widows might keep a shotgun under the bed for self defense but the vast number of guns, were meant for having fun.
All of the mass murders, in the ghettos or at random or in schools or malls or churches, began when millions of people could buy a military style rifle or a high capacity pistol.
The only way this ends is a future Supreme Court repealing or gutting recent pro Second Amendment rulings.
It would not take much, to pass laws where a 42 year old transgender right wing MAGA fanatic who lived in a house with seven other people could not afford an AR15 or a Glock or wouldn’t wait for one.
